I have always received the confirmation e-mail within 2 weeks from when I mailed it out.

When I asked the manager at FYE this morning why she only had full screen for Mooseport she replied full screen dvd's were what her customers preferred.

As I gazed at the new selection displays I imagine were filled not long ago I saw completely full displays of full screen but the widescreen selections such as LOTR seem to be more empty.

Could she have been "LYING" to get a sale? Hmmmm

I did not bite!

One thing to keep in mind on ROTK, if you were going to buy the Extended Edition Box Set(which will have a $10 refund offer when it is released later this year, if you bought the theatrical version as well) is that with the 9.99 price AR, you can essentially get this version for free after paying a little sales tax. If you buy the extended edition version without the toy, you can still get a $5 rebate. On the prior rebates, you didn't need your receipt from the theatrical version, but you did need to cut the proof of purchase tab off...

Anyone got a heads up on tomorrow's eligible rebate titles/prices? I'm especially interested in Dukes of Hazzard and Flight of the Naviagator...

Thanks!

Did anyone get the Great Escape? The box is cardboard and I don't want to cut out the SKU and it says original only. Any experience with this?

Also:

I bought the three versions of Scary Movie, but my deal wasn't as good as promised cuz there was no additional in-store discount and the SM3 was $2 more than stated in this thread.

Anyway, I see a sticker on the back of 3 I can send in. I can't tell if 1&2 have similar stickers since they are shrink wrapped with their asses together. Anyone know?

Strawberries
These prices are generally also good at Coconuts, YMMV at FYE, though the rebate form is generally the same one.

Generally, a good week for prices, mediocre content week. Spiderman and Pitch Black include movie tickets to respective sequels, those don't appear to be retailer specific. Also, a new preorder this week, Bad(der) Santa, 6/22/04, $9.99 AR includes free t shirt with preorder.

9.99 +tax AR

Eurotrip(Unrated) 19.99 + tax - $10 MIR
Spiderman(3 Disc) 19.99 + tax - $10 MIR(note: includes Spiderman 2 movie ticket, up to $12 value,expires 7/30/04)
My Baby's Daddy 19.99 + tax - $10 MIR

12.99 + tax AR

Monster 19.99 + tax - $7 MIR
The Company 19.99 + tax - $7 MIR
Catch That Kid 19.99 + tax - $7 MIR
Pitch Black 19.99 + tax - $ 7 MIR(note: includes Chronicles of Riddick movie ticket,good 6/11-6/27/04,up to $10.50 value)

Dukes of Hazzard, S1 32.99 + tax - $10 MIR

Where to find FYE rebates?

Is there any way to find out what the rebate deals are at FYE on a weekly basis without actually going to the store? I looked on the FYE website but didn't see anything.

I also got my email confirmation - but that was three wks ago and still nothing. I clicked on the email link and it took me to their website. Nothing really 'happened', was I supposed to confirm it somehow?

About how long from the email did you get your rebate?

Just a confirmation that the Deluxe Spider-man set is $19.99 with a $10 rebate at FYE. Other deals for 6/1 at FYE direct from the form are:

Catch that Kid ($7)
The Company ($7)
Dukes of Hazard S1 ($10)
Eurotrip - 3 versions ($10)
Monster ($7)
Monster/Aileen 2pk ($7)
My Baby's Daddy ($10)
Pitch Black Director's Cut - 2 versions ($7)

Wow, I really haven't posted for a while. I've been too busy to check the boards. Hope all of you have been doing well!

You're right, it is a $10 rebate on My Baby's Daddy, for a total of $9.99 + tax AR, nitwits at local Strawberries had it mismarked.

Also, Spiderman movie ticket expires 7/30/04 and is good for one admission up to $12 value. Riddick ticket is good 6/11/04-6/27/04 up to $10.50 value. New material doesn't look too compelling though...

On Spidey or Riddick? Since I'll spend $7 on the ticket and there's a $10 MIR, I may just pick up the three disc and sell the two disc, but if the new extras aren't all that, I might just save myself the hassle.

Got my $8 rebate for the Cooler today. This is despite at least eight emails, two of which contained both scans of the rebate form. Hopefully other people will fare better - it just upsets me it took SOOOOO many emails (and time) to end up still getting the wrong rebate amount.

Thanks. I knew I'd read something but it was many pages ago and I didn't want to go back through. If I'd only guessed it was the first post.

Grabbed Spiderman and Eurotrip. Even though I already own the 2 disc Spidey, getting the additional disc and the $10 mail in rebate and the movie ticket made it more than worth it in my mind.

I received my Cooler rebate today, and got an $8 check AND a $2 check. I sent them a scanned copy of my rebate slip, and while I never heard back through my e-mail, they did rectify it by giving me the $2 check. Hopefully the people who responded will get the $2 check to balance it out.

I got my Cooler rebate in 2 checks as well, thanks again to daa027 for posting the scan!

In terms of the extra material on Spidey, it looks like the regular 2 disc edition, with an extra disc of about half a dozen featurettes(costume design, etc), theatrical teaser trailer of Spidey 2, and a preview(probably a few levels) of the Spiderman 2 video game. For Pitch Black, they had a few features to fill in the back story(presumably to set up the next movie as well), preview of the video game, and preview of an animated Riddick movie. Anyway, mostly ads of various sorts, if you're going to see the movie anyway, depending on what movie tickets cost, you can probably 'trade up' for a few dollars net. I would have been more interested in 'upgrading' Pitch Black(a great Alien rip-off), but the list of stuff didn't excite me there either.

I had the same problem with my rebates. I had to fax them the original coupon as well as e-mail them scans of the coupon (thanks guys). I think in my case they confused the WWE XX DVD set with the other WWE DVD that week, so I was shorted $3. I was told I'd get another rebate check for that amount since the others were already processed.

There customer service definitely seems a little lacking, and they don't communicate anything to one another. I guess they don't make notes in their system. Just persist and it should be corrected eventually. I'm glad I kept everything.

Here are some future offerings:

6/22/04: Reno 911 (season one) $19.99 + tax - $10 MIR (bonus item, if any, unknown at this time)
8/3/04: Hidalgo $19.99 + tax - $10 MIR (bonus item, if any, unknown at this time)
8/10/04: Kill Bill vol. 2 $19.99 + tax - $10 MIR (bonus item, if any, unknown at this time)

And some other tidbits:
Home on the Range (Disney) due out 9/14/04 (no price or rebate information available as of 6/2/04)
Elf due out 11/2/04 (no price or rebate information available as of 6/2/04)
and…
The extended edition of LOTR: Return of the King shows to cost $29.99 (no rebate info available) and my FYE clerk, who is very knowledgeable, had read that it's coming in September. He himself is waiting for that title, so his claim may have merit.

I got a confirmation e-mail about The Cooler the other day. My rebate was also marked as $8. I e-mailed customer service right away with a scan of the rebate form, and my rebate information was corrected within an hour of my original e-mail being sent.

Very cool. This is a hilarious show, and for $10 there's no way I'll be able to pass it up!

I know there's supposed to be a rebate on Mystic River next week. Does anyone know if the deluxe Mystic River will have a rebate (I would assume so) and what the price before/after rebate may be?
