Gone again. I was trying to get one for a friend... Glad I got mine in a few months ago.

My order also says shipping soon. I can't wait for this beast to arrive.

Thanks for the heads up. Just ordered mine through HMV and saved a bundle over Amazon.co.jp if I had ordered when it was 1st listed.

Are you talking about the Alien head set or the ultimate collection? Alien head set is definately cheaper at amazon.co.jp.

Btw. Just got shipping confirmation from amazon.co.jp for the Alien Head set. Shipping was upgraded from the cheapest option to DHL without extra cost.

So is the only difference of the actual DVDs between the R1 and R2 that Aliens and Alien 3 have DTS but no theatrical cuts? If so I think I will sell my R1, and pick up those two seperately whenever they go on sale.

How the hell did you mistakenly order 4 alien heads?! I am sure you will make a profit on ebay.

Can't believe they dropped the theatrical cuts of Aliens and Alien 3 (particulary Alien 3).

Found a very in-depth review of the Jap Quadrilogy here

does the head come in a Box?
or is it just as you show it! surley its in a nice sturdy, well made box with artwork and photos and a nice window to see the head?
or is it just stuck with the dvd set and toys in a big card plain box?

I got mine today. This set is awesome.

The dome doesn't fit as tightly as I think it should though. One side is a little higher than the other. Are the other sets like that, or is mine formed a little off?

My total cost was $233.33 overnighted from Japan from Amazon.jp. I paid for DHL but they upgraded to overnight for free.

Was it well packed in the original box? I noticed yours wasn't double boxed, just curious if the packaging could sustain the usual courier bumps. Thanks!

It has molded styrofoam inside the box to keep it safe, not the thickest in the world but mine showed up fine.
