Re: Lionsgate Limited - limited-edition releases curated from Lionsgate’s library

Anyone know how soon Luonsgate ships out their orders after the release date? I know The Descent releases on November 11th I was just wondering when it might ship. This is my first Lionsgate Limited purchase.

Looks like I should have the movie on Monday. Also my GRUV order arrives Monday. Luckily I have Tuesday and Wednesday off to movie watch.

eta: looks like GRUV order arrives today (Friday)

Same. However, I had to ship mine to TX. So I have a longer wait and an extra shipping charge to look forward.

That sucks but at least you have a way to get LL stuff, until they hopefully change their policy.

Re: Lionsgate Limited - limited-edition releases curated from Lionsgate’s library

I just got my copy of The Descent. First impressions are the steelbook is well made, sturdy, and free from any defects. It was packaged well which was great. For anyone curious the 4k disc does include both the rated and unrated version of the movie. All of the extras are on both the 4k and bluray discs. The new documentary produced was about 46 minutes long and the extra on the score is about 9 minutes. Also all previous extras are included as well. I wont redeem the digital code until Tuesday once I know 4k version is up on Vudu. I'm planning on watching the movie tonight. Overall I'll buy from Lionsgate limited again.

Mine is still indicating Monday. It's not like I have time to check it out. My GRUV/Shout! haul showed up early so I have those to go through first.

Yeah, I didn't get lucky either. Looking forward to it showing up tomorrow.

Got my notice it was delivered right when I arrived at work. So it sat outside in the mailbox until I got home. Nicely packaged in bubblewrap. Slipcover is pretty tight. Movie looks good. Nice colors and blacks.

I went ahead and got my order in for The Descent since quantities are getting low, and I grabbed Dogma while I was at it. I would've ordered Battle Royale but am happy with Arrow's UHD release from a while back.

I only had the old all-region DVD so I needed an upgrade.

Did my first LL order today; Dogma, Descent & Battle Royale... And all I wanted was Dogma , never owned the other 2. They Steelbook trapped me.

LL selling a shit ton of discs last 24 hours. The Descent sold out then they put it back in stock with a few dozen. Dogma selling well, as well as Battle Royale.

Re: Lionsgate Limited - limited-edition releases curated from Lionsgate’s library

I think Lionsgate underestimated how many copies The Descent would sell. They should have done a standard 4k release as well.

What's the difference between the LL Dogma and regular 4K that's also coming out next month? Is it just the case?

Yeah. When there's a retail edition and a Lionsgate Limited edition going up at the same time, the discs themselves are the same, and the packaging is all that's different.

Fuck i wasn’t paying attention on how fast the Descent was selling. Hopefully a UK label puts it out soon.

Fandango finally put up the listing for the unrated cut of The Descent so it is safe to redeem the code.

Well hopefully they will upgrade it for me as I redeemed the digital code and it was in regular HD.

Re: Lionsgate Limited - limited-edition releases curated from Lionsgate’s library

I redeemed on launch day which I never do and got the HDX unlocked. I emailed support and after providing photos of the steelbook (front and back), digital code sheet and screenshot of the receipt they sent me a new 4k code for the unrated cut. Yay! They were pretty expedient. My first email was late at night and I got an immediate response requesting the pics. The code showed up the next day.

I've been eyeing The Conversation 4k. Lionsgate has it for $79 (ouch) but Deep Discount has it for $34. I guess the LG is a limited steel case plus some dodads but it's the same movie from DD unless I'm missing something.

The Deep Discount one is a UK import. Which is fine, since the 4K disc is region-free. The 4K disc content is the same, with the movie and all bonus features. The overall package does not include a Blu-ray copy, a digital copy, and all the extra tchotchkes, like the Lionsgate Limited. So, if all you care about is the 4K movie (and bonus features), yes, the import is a much better value.
