It was fine with me because I was in hell and was only there because I thought he would like it. I was so relieved when he asked if we could leave the movie early. And I NEVER leave movies early at the theater. I think I have only voluntarily left maybe three movies at the theater in my entire life.
I loathe the Speed Racer movie, but it seems to have generated some cult fandom over time. I don't get it, either. Watching that movie was pure misery for me.

I don't have any real memory of the movie, just maybe some disappointment since my expectations were high with the Matrix creators involved. But considering it was filmed in 1080p resolution, at best you have to hope for some eye popping hdr color

They were price matching Wal-Mart.

I got it at that price. I couldn’t believe it considering the good reviews.

Re: UHD release announcements

No interest in the Rambo movies, but that's a good looking set and gives me hope that physical media will stick around a little bit longer if they're willing to put this much effort into a box set.

Re: UHD release announcements

https://www.waltdisneystudios.jp/stu...ducts#4k-uhd-1

The first Studio Ghibli catalog film title is getting released in Japan (June 24). It's Princess Mononoke. English subtitles & English dub not listed with 4K UHD (it's still listed with BD).

I would be surprised if GKIDS doesn't released it later this year. The release order should follow the 4K restoration IMAX screenings (Kiki's Delivery Service, Whisper of the Heart, The Secret World of Arrietty). It's TBA after that.

IMAX:
- April 21 only | Whisper of the Heart https://www.imax.com/movie/whisper-of-the-heart
- May 19 only | The Secret World of Arrietty https://www.imax.com/movie/the-secret-world-of-arrietty

Re: UHD release announcements

Princess Mononoke was my first Studio Ghibli film. They showed a print upstairs at San Diego ComicCon and the room was packed. The movie has always been in my collection in one for or another.

Re: UHD release announcements

i just got The Hurt Locker SteelBook™ 4K... thought it was a knockoff because the discs look written on and what looked like a sticker on the disc itself. thankfully, turned out to be genuine (bc i saw actual pics online), but very peculiar discs. don't understand it, but luckily it was genuine. Why is this not available for normal retail release?

It was a Best Buy exclusive.
