The recent Criterion release of The Others is SDR. Also the three Leone westenrs starring Clint Eastwood from Kino are too.

It's basically the full 4K lines of resolution (3840 x 2160) without the HDR/DV mastering or overlay. Doesn't have a wide color gamut.

Re: UHD release announcements

Its a new 25th Anniversary 4k Steelbook for Sleepy Hollow coming out on 10/8. Everything is the same from last year's 4k release but it looks pretty cool if you haven't bought it already.

Re: UHD release announcements

Do they break into choreographed dance/kill moves with song during segments of the movie?

That fire effect at the end of the trailer is hilariously bad.

Looks like "John Wick Rides on Snowpiercer."

Re: UHD release announcements

I would gladly pick-up those new Hellraiser releases if Arrow addressed the incorrect framing in their older release of Hellraiser III: Hell On Earth (1992).

This new set fixes the framing issue. I have the import set that came out last year. All four films look and sound great, IMO.

I did a blind buy of the bluray for $5.99 and I've yet to watch it. I've always heard it's good.

It's fun. The scene where they tumble down a hill is still impressive, because they used real stuntmen.

Re: UHD release announcements

Sweet! I dig the artwork!

I will definitely get this though I would rather have the entire series in 4K. That series defines my horror movie watching as a teen.

Re: UHD release announcements

Here is what I found on IMDB

"The US release trims the scene where Tina falls from her bedroom ceiling, missing out the subsequent splash of blood that flies up as she hits the bed, and a few other scenes as well (listed in FAQ). These scenes were included in the original UK cinema and pre-2001 video releases on the CBS/Fox and Entertainment In Video labels. However, the Widescreen version issued on DVD and video in 2001 on the Entertainment in Video label uses the cut US version. The 2006 Infinifilm edition in the US also uses the cut version of the film."
