Re: UHD release announcements

It was ok but maybe cheaper to watch it on cable since it is played heavily in their rotations.

Re: UHD release announcements

Ha! Kino Lorber does their announcements at a fixed time, and sometimes when I see the clock is at 10:58 or something, I’ll mozy to my PC and open Twitter just in case there’s something worth sharing. Hence the “posted 2 seconds ago” thing.

As much as I like the movie, the blu should suffice.

But only in the stunning clarity of 4K resolution can we finally confirm, definitively, that it is indeed not a toom-ah.

Re: UHD release announcements

If anyone is interested The Muppets Take Manhattan is now out on 4k. It's been remastered, has an Atmos track, and a really good commentary track from Frank Oz. I'd highly recommend it for any Muppet fans and it's probably the only Muppet movie we will see in 4k.

Why is that? Why not The Muppet Movie or The Great Muppet Caper?

Because those two are controlled by Disney.

Re: UHD release announcements

I just can't believe that a George Lucas film would turn out so bad on home video.

For the Satoshi Kon fans out there, it looks like Paprika is getting the UHD (and steelbook) treatment on February 20th: https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/dvd...=0043396634749

Release should materialize. There is a HK release pre-order listing that also mentions 4K SteelBook (release date has been changing for months) https://www.buyoyo.com/buyoyo/eng/Pr...rfnbr=10157741. It's likely a multi-region release.

The movie is also getting a theatrical re-release next year. https://www.ax-cinemanights.com/#upcomingEvents.
