Works out for me since that's one I haven't picked up. I'll get that when it's out.

Did anyone check out Batman and Harley Quinn yet? Reviews have been average at best over at Amazon. 3/5 stars so far with 38 reviews.

It was entertaining and funny for the most part but it's not something I would watch again.

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

Stupid question perhaps, does anybody know if we are getting a 4k steelbook or a blu-ray steelbook @ Target this Tuesday for Harley & Bats? In either case, depending on what happens with Harvey, I might be flooded in come Tuesday, we shall see, hopefully not.

Well I was thinking about the box set, but not with that MSRP.

Wish the Steelbook was $16 like the last few have been but I'll be trying to nab a copy of it from Target on Tuesday.

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

So over the past year, they slowly raised the price by $5. So at four releases a year now, we're at $80 if we continue the steelbook route. I think I might start renting these going forward.

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

I'm sure that set's price will come down quite a bit before release. If WB really wants $300 for it they should have made another animated film and included it as a timed exclusive. They could have given it a standalone release down the line.

Instead, that set comes with an "adult coloring book".

Welp, I just realized that with Harvey coming, I might (or might not) have to ask one of you fine folks for an extra copy. We'll see how this storm plays out.

It's looks like the steelbook preorder is finally live

Thank you for that very much. That does two good things, gives me the DPCI number if I do decide to venture out and I'll go ahead and order a copy. At worse case scenario...I play the "which copy comes to me in better shape" game and return the other one. Appreciate ya

The set does come with 2 hours of new special features.

That does sound like a paltry amount of exclusives for the price. I'm guessing someone in marketing came up with this set without knowing the movies very well.

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

you know i saw the review for Batman and Harley Quinn. why does DC keep putting these sneak peeks for blurays that came out years ago? i don't get that and why the other extras are so paltry...

It seems to me they've kind of run out of topics to build extensive background pieces on, -or maybe it's a money thing. The re-use of material from previous discs seems to serve as just padding, -as well as promotion. It's kind of turned me off to buying these discs, -haven't since "The Dark Knight Returns".

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

The original plan was to include 15-minute shorts on each new release for characters that couldn't justify an entire movie by sales. Timm said that got too expensive. They've slimmed back the special features outside of archival animated episodes.

Ouch. The 4K version sounds rough.

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

Stopped into my Target on the way to work and was able to get the Batman/Harley Quinn steelbook.

The store only had three on the shelf, which is lower than this particular store normally has for the animated steelbooks.

Same at mine. And after checking online for store pickup, it looks like there are between 1 - 3 in stores around me too. I wonder why they stocked less for this one. It also looks like they are not carrying the 4K version, online or in stores.

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

Welp, we did end going to Target in Cinco Ranch despite all the rain and flooding for some supplies. However, they had only the blu-ray and dvd copies...no steelbook. Thankfully, I do have one coming from Target.com, it would have been nice though to get one in store that I knew was un-dented and such. One cool thing, there was another guy waiting on the same thing...he was pretty nice and we talked for awhile despite them having none in the back. I sometimes feel like I'm in a bubble when it comes to collecting steelbooks (or movies in general). But anyway, we'll keep on hoping.

EDIT: Actually my copy should be here on Thursday according to the tracker via UPS. We'll see how it goes.

Got my copy today. My store got 4 copies. It looks like pretty nice cover - haven't opened it or seen the back yet.

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

Just picked up the steelbook from Target and went back to work. I noticed there's a sneak peak of Gotham by Gaslight on it. Checked YT and someone already posted it.
