Yeah, that's why I'm super glad I picked it up from Best Buy back in October when they had it as their DOTD for $60.

And even some people were bitching about that price.

I hate to be that guy, but I'm glad I picked it up from Columbia House a couple years ago for $34. Obviously there's been times where I've bought something only to see the price go down later. Nice to have it work in my favor this time around. In hindsight, my only regret is not picking another one up at that time.

Yup, glad I got it on release day. From the WB shop, with some coupons at some price I dont recall.

Sometimes you wait too long for a price cut and this is what happens.

Still wouldn't pay even $1 for it until they do a proper 3D disc of part 3. I have the DVD boxset with the "Jason Forever" bonus disc, that was worth a bunch for a few minutes but now that's lost just about all its value.

Right now a used copy with dents in the case and no Disc 4 is selling for $132 on Ebay with over 20 bids. The auction has been live for just over 24 hours. lol.

Still haven't gotten the box set. Might just get the double feature sets for the remaining films. The only thing is Warner still haven't released a double feature for Jason Goes to Hell/Jason X as far as I'm aware.

I guess I don't know for sure. They just released last year but Warner's licensing deal with Paramount may be over or will be soon.

The biggest missteps was the non-3D of part 3 and the r-rated cut of Jason Goes to Hell, but otherwise, it is a great set.

I would buy a solo release of part 3 if they would do a true 3D version in a heartbeat.

I bought this on bestbuy.com a couple of months ago once I saw it was probably going OOP. Paid $100 for it. Glad I bought it sooner rather than later! What are the chances for a re-release?

I bought the unrated/rated Jason Goes to Hell DVD for $5 and added it to the set inside a disc sleeve. I'd probably get a true 3D version if made available too.

Yes there is. I think I recall selling it for $15-20.

I am happy I got this set, the only real complaint I have is jason goes to hell is not the unrated version, but I held on to the dvd so I am okay with it.

so i redeemed this through flixster and it says it was added to my collection. will i see this one in with my Vudu or no?

can i watch this through my tv if only on UV or flixster?

I have to think the films will get re-released in some fashion at some point so I'm not overly concerned that I missed out. I have the first three films and the remake. The only ones that I don't have (on Blu-ray at least) that I watch often are The Final Chapter and Jason Lives.

I got this for around $80 and was happy to pay that price. A lot of folks scoffed at paying anything above $20-$30 for this set, because these films aren't of the highest caliber. But for fans of the series, it's a great set.

Every UV title should show up in your Vudu account, though some take a few minutes after redemption. There's a Flixster app on my Roku but it doesn't have 5.1 sound so I never use it.
