If you're content on just the digital copy, you should browse the trading forum on blu-ray.com. I was able to get a UV copy of the set for $24. Pricing seems to range from $20-$30.

Any word on what the packaging for the UK version is going to be like ? I hope it's like the set that Universal did for the monsters and it's in proper packaging instead of the idiotic packaging that they're trying to rip off the US with....

No UK collection has been announced, as far as I know. I'm not sure it'd be possible...if Warner's license for the Paramount-produced sequels extends to the UK and all that,

My order is still "In Progress", but the money has moved to "Pending" now.
Based on earlier comments, maybe that means it's shipping soon and I'll get the confirmation e-mail after having already received it. :1

Someone on another site mentioned that they contacted WBshop and was told that it is no longer on back order so they should be shipping out soon. I have watched the first four, Jason X and the remake and so far I am loving the set.

Received my shipping notice this evening. It looks like they upgraded the shipping to UPS, so that is a plus. Expected to arrive on Monday.

Re: Friday The 13th BR Box Set in the works.
Got mine today. A cursory test of the discs showed a possibly defective disc for part 7/8. It freezes in the middle of part 7. It looks like there's large wrinkles or scratches between the layers.
Also the new encoding or whatever they did on FVJ locks up on my player after the logos. Its original blu-ray plays fine on my player.
Oh, and FYI, the commentary for 7 from the old box set (with just the director and Kane Hodder) is absent. Only the deluxe edition commentary is on it.
update
In case anybody else experiences the same issue:
I talked to WBShop because of the (at least 1) defective disc in the set I received. They said they will e-mail me a postage-paid return label to send it back.
As a policy, they do not replace individual discs though and will require the entire set replaced.
Also, because of the cost of the item, they will not ship my replacement set until they either receive the old set back or at least can pull up UPS's tracking and confirm that it is on the way back to them.
This worries me though because there's no guarantee that the new set will not also have defective discs. I much prefer when companies are willing to send the replacement first so I can mix-and-match the discs to end up with a full set of working discs.
Plus it means it's a waste of time to watch the movies this weekend like I was planning because I'm going to want to watch the new set when it shows up to test it. Watching all 12 films twice in a 1-to-2 week period is too much for me.
I hope everyone else has better luck with this.

I watched Part 3 last night (in 2D) and after seeing how great Part 1 & 2 looked, 3's transfer is a massive disappointment. Tons of spots, dirt, marks, etc. really mar the images throughout the movie.

That movie's always looked like crap in any format, due to its 3D process with each eye view using half of a regular 35mm frame. The 2D video transfers were made from 2D scope prints made for drive-ins. Still think it's a huge insult that they didn't do a proper 3D Blu-Ray for this set.

Even worse - and I might've mentioned this before - but I had a good conversation with III's stereographer and he told me that he's got a pristine print of it, in proper 3D, at home. But Paramount couldn't have given less fucks about it.

I held this in my hand today in the store and it felt so so cheap. An $75 set needs pizzaz. Not the same crappy tin case they have to package movies in to trick people into buying them.
