There may have been a small handful of films shot with in-camera hard mattes, but those are the exception, not the rule.

Re: Friday The 13th BR Box Set in the works.
I pre-ordered this set when it was first announced from wbshop for $70 shipped and couldn't be happier with what the set contains! I absolutely hate JGTH (personally) and almost walked out of the theatre when I saw it, but obviously I would prefer having the uncut version included. And yes, it would be nice to have part 3 in true 3D. Still, this is a great set at a great price! By the time I dump my blu's of 1,2,3,FvsJ, and remake, this set will cost me less than $50 total.
I wish WBshop would hurry up and ship it! I'm also awaiting my signed copy of Crystal Lake Memories. My wife has never seen any of the old F13th films so she and I will make a marathon of it and then watch the Crystal Lake Memories set. It's a good day to be a horror fan...lots of classics coming to blu this year!! It's bad on my wallet though!!

1.85:1
16:9 open matte
1.85:1 cropped to 16:9
Original minus 5% TV overscan
No director has ever complained about a 1.85:1 movie being altered to 16:9. It's not a battle worth fighting.

I don't have screenshots of that movie handy. Is its 1.85:1 framing somehow mathematically different than the 1.85:1 framing of every other 1.85:1 movie ever made? The last I checked, one 1.85:1 movie cannot be wider than another 1.85:1 movie, unless you want to argue that the entire concept of mathematics as humanity understands it has collapsed. In which case, the world has a lot bigger problems on its hands than the video transfer of one horror movie.

The Jason Goes to Hell digital copy on Flixster is listed as "R" but it is the 91-minute unrated version.

Last time I ordered from WBShop, I didn't receive a shipping notification until well after I had the item. Not saying that this will be the case, but I figured it was worth mentioning.

If I was the only one who hadn't gotten it I'd be more worried. I'm sure they just got more of a response than they expected and are getting more stock in.

I never bought the deluxe editions when they were released on DVD so I'm liking these new extras that I haven't seen yet so far on this set.

I'm in the same boat as you. My card hasn't been billed yet either. The temp charge went through immediately and then bounced back off a few days later.

Has there been any confirmation of why this doesn't include the uncut version of JGTH? It seems stupid not to include it. It probably has the most literal sex=death scene EVER. I saw it on BET once. I've never understood why.

I've heard that the UV copies that are included actually have the uncut version of JGTH...so you can watch that there on your mobile device or computer at least.

Still BS and not 1080p or a physical copy, sounds like Paramount's new modus operandi though. I wonder why they didn't include it in the first place! Anyway, is this the first BR release for most of the F13 films?
