Wal-Mart had a ton of their exclusive edition in stock yesterday evening. It looked like every single copy of the blu-ray they had was their version with the exclusive version with the bonus disc. They had seven or eight copies on the rack, and then a big cardboard display with fifty or sixty copies in it. Didn't look they were moving many. It was priced at $22.96.

Since they had so many copies and it looks to be a slow movie, I'll hold off on it and see if they end up in the cheap bins.

There was an ad stating the Walmart exclusive was $18.96, but it seems like everyone's store is ringing up $22.96.

I picked up the exclusive Target steelbook and there were quite a few of them left at my location. I like the steelbook overall however I sort of wish that the exclusive disc from Target would have had a tray instead of just laying inside in a paper sleeve.

I noticed my Target steelbook has clips to hold a tray for a third disc.

Yeah it does. I tried putting a spare tray that I have in it but the case won't close. The tray I have is just slightly too big.

You can snap 2 dvds on the hubs of the steelbook. I have the blu-ray by itself and I snapped the dvd of the movie and the bonus dvd onto the same hub, on top of each other, no problem.

Can anyone that actually has the Best Buy or Target versions confirm if the bonus discs are DVD or Blu-ray? It seems weird that the Target one would be a DVD, since it's catalog number starts with BD, whereas the Walmart one which has been confirmed as a DVD starts with WC.

EDIT: The Best Buy one starts with BD as well

I have them both, and they are DVD. Makes sense on the catalog since they are listed by main feature, which is a Blu ray. Or so I thought.

Anybody else having trouble with the subtitles? Seems they default to 'on' with my player (Sony BDP-S590). I thought maybe it was the player, but it's also the first option on the setup menu. Usually the first option is also the default & is 'none'. Weird.

It is irritating when someone that works in a particular section of a store has no clue about the promotional items for their area.

I have 2 very small scratches on 2 corners, but that's it. I could care less though.

I carefully looked through the Target steelbooks specifically to find one without scratches. Found one and got it home only to discover a scratch on the top corner that was under the paper folded over the top. Oh well, it's small and not terribly noticable.

I have one very small pin-dot-sized chip. I used a black sharpie, and it's fine now.

would they let me swap it out for another? probably should of looked closer at the case

son of bitch swapped it for one i thought was better but didnt notice the scratch on the side between Django and Unchained fml guess i'll just keep it

Has anyone watched the Best Buy exclusive doc? Any thoughts on how it compares to the Comic Con video on the Target set? This might be crazy OCD, but I'm gonna go out tonight to try to find either the Target or BB set (the stores are next door to each other) so I'm just curious if anyone has an opinion on it that might sway me in one direction.

I think someone mentioned above or on blu-ray.com that the docs are on YouTube if you want to watch them first. Might save yourself time/money.

Someone in front of me at Walmart bought it tonight and it rang up $18.96. If you bring in the ad they should match it anyway.

My Target SteelBook has a few nicks on it as well, which is a shame because it's a beautiful package.

I just noticed my Target Steelbook has a couple of nicks. Oddly enough, I haven't died yet. Will post later if condition worsens.
