FN sold out because people like me saw the profit in it. It likely would have taken weeks longer if they were not selling for
2x-3x in eBay while TT still had them for $30.

I never posted in that last thread. Is there something you are trying to say? Use your words.

unfortunately, I'm in Australia and 3rd party shipping costs on Amazon are more ridiculous than TT's prices!

Sigh, not everything has to be hostile, just because it is on DVDTalk.

I still have no idea why you posted what you did. Care to explain or shall I just post links to two random threads?

It was another example of this forum making someone money. I only mentioned it to Gizmo as he was part of the original discussion but never heard the results as the original thread was locked.

So...

Don't let the story end there.

Did anyone get their money back or did we not really invest in the Charles Band Full Moon properties?

Is that what he was trying to go with? Sending Full Moon money to make a shitty film?

Not quite sure, but it seems that he's kinda bitter as this was a thread from 2+ years ago...

I really don't want an argument, I just wanna know if there was a happy ending to this whole fiasco... As I noticed the film did come out. I'm just wondering if anyone really received their checks or are they waiting like the remainder of people trying to get walk-on roles in Bands films...

I personally remember wanting that hard-to-get/OOP Puppetmaster boxset and remember that they found an extra couple crates that were lost at the distributor warehouse or whatever... And then again. and again. lol

I'd honestly like to see more Troma films come out on BD.

Gizmo, you seem pretty up on things...

Do you remember exploitedcinema.com? Whatever happened to them? They had some of the most awesome smaller pressing films around and they just seemed to disappear.

I know you weren't asking me but to the best of my knowledge the guy running it pretty much just got tired of the business of selling dvds. The site is still up (and has a sale on remaining stock) and they still ship fast but they haven't restocked or added new stock in years. The guy also has an ebay store as TSimonelli (or something close to that).

I think he is just selling whatever stock he has left. He hasnt gotten anything new in a few years (best of my knowledge). I remember getting a few HD DVDs from him in the past.

I think the remake to Night of the Living Dead is a piece of shit, but the internet believes it's better than the original.

I really like the remake, but do people really prefer it over the original film?

That's the first time I've ever heard that.

So you invested in 2010 and finally got your money back in April 2012?

Could you sue Band for breach of contract since it took him almost 2 years to pay you back as opposed to 6 months like promised?

At one point were you like, 'I'm not going to get my money back, That SOB!'

Apparently "Evil Bong" did an amazing $91k in Theaters. With money like that, I'm sure Full Moon gave everyone thousands of dollars!!!!

For those like who missed out on Mysterious Island, TCM played it earlier today. Not sure of any other future showings, but it might be worth a look.

I know people who think so. I don't agree with them at all, but I've heard friends say it. I'm not much of a fan of the remake. I probably would buy it for 10 just to have for the horror challenge, but no way would I buy it for Twilight Time prices.
