PRE-FUCKING-ORDERED. The 5 disc and the Light Disc version.

You got what you wanted. I hope you enjoy that shitty ass cover.

Is there any word on what the features of the original film will be ? I love the commentary and all the features of the original 2 disc dvd set and hope they'll be there.

Pre-ordered! And I'll take a crappy cover for a great movie over a great cover for a crappy movie any day of the week.

While it looks like getting the two separately is about the same price as the 5-Disc set, I'm still likely to just get them separately (since I don't plan on upgrading to 3D; my girlfriend's eyes prevent the effect from working for her, and I'm just not a fan) than to essentially get a free 3D BD.

If you pre-order right now, you can add a $5 coupon on what it looks like all editions.

Yeah. That made me put in a pre-order for the limited edition set. I can always cancel my order if I can get both Tron and Tron: Legacy separately for cheaper with the use of the DMR coupons that should appear right before their release.

However, that packaging...

I just found this thread and this has nothing to do with Tron, but I have to say that this is one of the funniest pictures I have ever seen!

Amazon's letting you order the two together for just under $48. I might have to jump on that one.

Edited cause I did decide to order it that way.

I like the 5 disc set and the artwork looks OK I suppose. BUT why does it say "2-Movie Collection" twice?!

the $48 deal is for the Tron Legacy (without the 3D bluray disc) + Tron. For a mere three dollars more, you get the 3D bluray version too.

Re: TRON: LEGACY DVD/Blu Combo Pack >> 04/2011 (?)

The collector's packaging is awesome, but just not practical for me. Used the $5 coupon for the standard 5-disc collection. I'm pretty sure that price will come down somewhat the closer we get to release date...

The coupon is right below the price on the main page for the four-disc and five-disc sets.

I'll wait to see what deals and coupons Disney releases before I decide to purchase either (both would be a blind buy).

I didn't see for the five disc set, but it does knock off 8 dollars at the 'review your order' page under the 'place your order' box

Items: $55.99
Shipping & Handling: $0.00
Promo code: -$8.00
Total Before Tax: $47.99
Estimated Tax To Be Collected: $0.00

DISREGARD THIS COMMENT - ERROR ON MY PART IT's $55.99 -$5 NOT 8

I know but like others have said, not planning on buying a 3D TV anytime soon.

Weird, I didn't get that. I'd like $13 off.

Your order is showing a promo of $8 for something. Where is that coming from?
(your $8 promo + $5 coupon is why he wants $13)

The order with the coupon looks like this:

Items: $55.99
Shipping & Handling: $0.00
Pre-order Guarantee: -$0.00
Promotion Applied: -$0.00
Your Coupon Savings: -$5.00

Total Before Tax: $50.99

according to blu-ray.com:

TRON: Legacy has not been announced yet, but it is already up for preorder and Amazon is offering a $5 digital coupon for its upcoming 3D Blu-ray versions: the TRON: Legacy 3D BD/2D BD/DVD/DC combo; the TRON: Legacy 3D / TRON combo; and the Limited Edition Ultimate TRON Experience in collectible Identity Disc packaging.

There is no official expiration date for these coupons, but according to DVDizzy they run through February 10.

Separately, Amazon is offering $8 off if you order the TRON: Legacy 2D Blu-ray/DVD combo together with the original Tron. No coupon is required.

~~~~~
oh don't listen to me, I just got a tad confused - you're right, the $8 off is for the Tron Legacy plus the original Tron, it's only 5 off the dual movie release.
The HDRoom has a nice photo of the Limited Edition set:
Spoiler:
The limited edition pre-order has a release date (as of now), for April 5th.
I'd like that Disc packaging if it was the original disc. The sequel is just far too flashy.
the collectible packaging doesn't look like it will hold the discs all that nicely.
