According to the link it is, but the grid they have is kind of annoying. (FYI, I believe "Second Screen" is a PiP track.)

TRON: Legacy
- "The Next Day: Flynn Lives Revealed"

I wonder if this is the rumored preview of the sequel?

/\ I read somewhere that it is not intended to signal a sequel afterall, as that hasn't been officially greenlit. Rather, it is simply meant to be a supplement.

Second Screen is Disney's new feature where you sync up an iPad or computer to your movie watching experience and have...a second screen. Content-wise it'll probably be similar to a PiP track but...on a second screen.

Re: TRON: LEGACY DVD/Blu Combo Pack >> 04/2011 (?)

Seems Wal-Mart has an exclusive two disc Blu listed. It comes with a green diecast light cycle. Seems to be the same as the ones sold in stores besides the green paint.

$24.99 Wal-Mart Exclusive Two Disc Tron Legacy Blu Ray + Diecast Lightcycle

Along with the German Steelbook from Amazon.de

Sell sheets released yesterday for Tron Legacy and Tron the Original Classic.

I'm booking April 5th off for a TRON day! I wonder if Disney will put bilingual text on its Canadian editions?

Yup, Amazon.de, my bad. These posts usually go up overnight, so I'm not very awake.

I'm happy updating everyone though, as I'm really looking forward to this release =D

If it's listing both aspect ratios, I'm assuming Disney is pulling a Warner a la The Dark Knight and the film will have numerous aspect ratio changes throughout.

After watching a 3D demonstration "reel" on the Sony CineAlta 4K projector (the same they use at Regal) the other night, Cameron is right. If you're going to go 3D, 1.78:1 is the way to go. I prefer the wider aspect ratio, but seeing 1.78:1 and 2.40:1 clips interchange back and fourth, the 3D effect works better in 1.78:1.

well....TDK was filmed w/ IMAX and 35mm film.

Tron isn't filmed w/ 2 types of camera formats...is it?

No. Probably around 40% was shot using the same camera just intended for the native 1.78:1 image. For IMAX, that footage was just "unconverted" to take advantage of the larger screens.

Has anybody heard of any other retailer exclusives besides the wal-mart light cycle?

I've been trolling the various big box retailers and have yet to see any.

I don't think the retailers are as willing to do exclusives for this due to the poorer than expected box office numbers.

I'm actually very surprised we haven't seen Disney announce coupons yet, as this is going to be a very tough sell to the general public. (Especially with so many different versions being released)

I would think the multiple versions make it an easier sell.

Why are you surprised? Disney never says they're gonna do coupons, they just show up a week or two before the movie comes out.

Right. I wouldn't start to worry about whether or not there will be coupons until the Sunday before the release date. What I am concerned about however is just what kind of coupons Disney will make available. It's very possible there will be one coupon that applies to only one specific edition of Tron Legacy. At the very least I hope the stand alone edition of the original Tron gets its own coupon as well.

I'm hoping to buy the 2 disc of each and having an upgrade coupon for the original and another coupon for Legacy would be ideal. Who knows what will happen though.

The video doesnt bridge Tron and Tron Legacy.
It takes place after Tron Legacy, the next day after Sam Flynn returns home.
This is obvious if you actually listen to what Alan Bradley says to Ram
At the end of the scene sam is about to hold a press conference the next day After he has returned from the grid.

Re: TRON: LEGACY DVD/Blu Combo Pack >> 04/2011 (?)

It actually bridges Tron to Tron Legacy and Tron Legacy to the possible(hopefully greenlit) sequel; There's information of what happened to the company after Flynn left and the skydiving is before the film; everything after Bradley and RAM meet up is after the movie and what he says foreshadows what the next movie would be about.

Re: TRON: LEGACY DVD/Blu Combo Pack >> 04/2011 (?)

Actually, the skydiving sequence was filmed at last year's San Diego Comic Con. They did a whole press conference thing that at the time people just thought was a great promotion for the film.

I was shocked to see the footage used in this.
