Bought Tale of Tales today...

From the Wal Mart thread. They had several copies. The BR we have are my sons so I didn't mind spending $8 per on these for myself. I still wish he would have used a bunch of those 80's DTV martial arts stars.

Evidently, Reds 25th Anniversary is back in stock via Amazon as well as a couple of marketplace sellers. There has been no mention of a re-release so if you've wanted to add this to your collection, I would jump on it while still available. Perhaps Paramount is considering a re-release, but then again, they may have simply unearthed a limited stash to unload. I also located Star Chamber and Thirteen Days via Movie Mars. Both titles are now OOP with prices rising. It's getting quite difficult keeping up with all the titles that are, officially and unofficially, going out-of-print.

I saw REDS on one of my first dates with my wife. All I remember is how long that thing was. I believe it was good but I started chomping at the bit for it to be over.

It's actually a very good film that could have been great. They just don't make epic films like that any longer. Paramount spread the film over two BD 25 discs at the time of its blu-ray release. I sold it when I liquidated my original Blu-ray collection and it is one of the films that has been OOP that I was hoping would get a re-release. No word yet so I'll have to be content with the 2006 release...finally getting this film back in my collection. Now if only they would release Ragtime on Blu-ray...
