I grabbed a few bargains at ridiculous prices with the discount code "TULIP" that ends today over at Deep Discount. It cost $26.55 shipped for these 7 titles that I happily added to my collection at roughly $3.79 each.

Both at Fry's Fremont location. Jaws was $5, and KR was 32.99...so score! I picked up the last copy on the shelf which was next to two copies of Miami Vice The Complete Series, now down to one copy because my brother snagged one. I am thrilled to pick up a complete series Blu set for such a great price, of a show I want to catch up on so it will not just collect dust on my shelves.

I made a "cheap sweep" this past Sunday morning and grabbed a few titles from the Fry's Electronics post anniversary sale and Zia Record Exchange:

At just $2.99 with promo code I picked up "Mercury Rising," "The Book Thief," "Baby Mama," "Changeling," "Liar, Liar" and "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas." I also picked up "Fiddler on the Roof" for $5.99. Stopped next door at Best Buy and grabbed a copy of the insanely cheap new release of "Heat" for $6.99 with slippie! And headed down the road to Zia Records where I sifted through their sale "Used" titles and grabbed "The Great Buck Howard," "Finding Neverland" and "Footloose" for $3.99. Finally, picked "MacArthur" over at Walmart for $7.88....not a bad haul for around $50.

This slow drip of Amazon UK arrivals wasn't meant to be. I ordered a bunch of things together, for the singular purpose of making sure this Phenomena box set and the Jennifer's Body Steelbook would get shipped in a big box with padding. Didn't work as they sent everything out piecemeal anyway. Fortunately the Steel arrived OK, and the Arrow used some thicker cardboard for the Phenom set, so that too looks intact. Hopefully Indicator will do the same for their Sinbad.

One of my most eagerly awaited releases this year. That set is going to be gorgeous...I can hardly wait. Once I receive this set, there will be just one Twilight Time-released title that I regret to have missed, "The Egyptian." For a medium that is supposedly dying, there have been some stellar releases this year. The "Phantasm Collection," "House: The Collection," and the "Donnie Darko Limited Edition" to name a few.

Haven't done this in ages but I blind bought this title. I heard great things about the movie, like the character and as usual had some RZ dollars to spend. For $5 I don't mind having the 4k version along with the BR.
