I was under the impression that it was just "okay", transfer and extras included.

The transfer actually is pretty good IMHO on the blu. But I would also like a EFNY re-issue on blu because of the extras. I had to keep my SE dvd and case which I'm not a fan of but it's my favorite movie, so I had no choice. But heck, any chance to relisten to a Kurt Russell commentary with John Carpenter is good enough for me. I wish they would have done one for Elvis or EFLA but I digress.

re: The One and Only Shout! Studios (and Scream Factory!) Blu-ray Thread

I pre-ordered this today. It's one of my favorite Horror films, so I'm really excited about the treatment it's getting.

I don't care about getting the BD 2 weeks early, so I'm fine with having a number outside the first 1,000 copies. Apparently the poster is available to everyone who pre-orders from Shout/Scream Factory's site?

Damn. And after I bought the Mad Mad trilogy boxed set too. Wonder if this will port over all of the extras from the old SE?

Looking forward to Escape From New York and Monkey Shines. Never seen Dolls but it sounds sorta interesting.

Shout is pretty good when porting over existing bonus materials. At least from MGM's discs anyway.

Never thought the Invaders From Mars remake would get a Blu-ray release.

Bring that on as well as UHF!

There are a lot of great releases there, but the fact that we are getting New Year's Evil makes me want to cry with happiness.

God I love that movie. I can't believe it.

I was excited to see that list, particularly Monkey Shines and Dolls, but finding out about UHF is just incredible! It's even going to have The Compleat Al!!!

Weird Al just posted on his facebook page about UHF. So flipping excited for a bluray, I hopw there will be some new extras, and a improved transfer. The dvd has always looked like it had an orange color to it

Will likely pick up UHF, Dark Half, and Monkey Shines. Maybe EFNY if there is enough improvement over what was already released.

I was watching UHF last night when I saw the announcement on Twitter. EASILY my most anticipated of the new bunch, and I'm excited for nearly all of those titles!

Yep, so did I. I'm assuming you got it when it was on sale a few months back.

Still, depending on what we get, I don't mind upgrading.

Really excited about Escape From New York - hope we get a bunch of brand-new extras on that one.

UHF and EFNY are must haves.
