Exactly what I said, but the text has now been edited. I think "get" read "het" and I was frustrated trying to make sense of that sentence describing the revised aspect ratio.

I'm still baffled as to how the disk allows one to listen to the Ellington score "alone." Turning off the center channel?

It's always dicey trying to read that website unless the text has been "sourced" from elsewhere or is written by Jonathan Rosenbaum. One day I may learn that lesson.

Well the text still reads "gay" and still makes little sense.

aside from the nonsensical stupid first sentence, I had to read the review even to understand the latter part of what theWitcher was referring to. I think he was trying to type 'that' but 'gay' got in there somehow... beats the shit out of me ?!? I guess bad grammar equates homophobic remarks.

Probably just a typo that some auto-speller "fixed" incorrectly. I could see "gany" (a typo for "many") being corrected to "gay".

What you smoking? You still didn't explain your homophobic comment?

I believe s/he was saying that there was a typo in the review. He saw the word "het" and from that read it as heterosexual. I'm pretty sure s/he was just trying to make a joke.

This must be a slow month. :)

I apologize to anyone who may have been offended by my asinine comments, especially anyone who determined they were homophobic. And I would like to apologize to the forum for wasting everyone's time.

We are only two weeks away from new Fassbinder and Preminger blu-rays from Criterion!

And next week we will likely see a new slate of releases! Will we finally hear news of that long desired Wong box set? An 'OC & Stiggs' special edition? 'Chelsea Girls'? 'Merry-Go-Round'? 'Renaldo & Clara'?

Well of course the New Year clue obviously means we're going to get a Wong Kar Wai boxset. All those CARS going the WRONG WAY.

White is ready for replacement. I got my corrected disk in less than a week after sending mine in. The disc clearly states second printing on it.

Carlos is not ready yet, they're awaiting corrected copies from the manufacturer I guess.

I emailed Jon and he emailed back with the address and what to include. I'm not certain emailing Jon is a pre-requisite as it seems he sent out the same email to everyone, but better be safe than sorry!

My replacement disc for White arrived this week as well. If you requested it it shouldn't be much longer.

I sent both White and Carlos discs to him - he just emailed me the other day saying my copy of 'White' is headed my way, the Carlos disc is speculated to be mailed in three weeks time.

Is something wrong with Belle de Jour? I just went to order it from amazon.com and it only shows purchasable from third party sellers.

Because of the website glitches yesterday, Criterion will be spending today focusing on that and customer support.

They're delaying the May announcements until tomorrow.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!11!!

Ok, I suppose they have their priorities in the right place - but how am I supposed to wait another day? ;)

Of course, I'm guessing we already know most of the release slate, since it's already pretty sure that Being John Malkovich, The Gold Rush (or some other Chaplin), and Summers with Monika will be part of tomorrow's announcement.

I really hope it is. One of the best movies I watched last year, a definite pre-order, and a fantastic announcement in what has been, IMO, a lackluster past few months.
