Well, I'm sure someone could create custom covers that fit the clear Criterion cases for each of the 5 titles in this set.

speaking of NON-uniformity...HAHAHA!

a regular plastic case with TWO discs...

They should have used the booklet art for the cover.

Fuck....I want Modern Times sooooo bad. LOVE Chaplin. I can't even imagine seeing in it 1080P in my home.

I'll definitely be picking up Modern Times before this sale ends.

I can't find Paths of Glory anywhere! I've been to Best Buy in Burbank, Frys in Burbank... and since the Barnes and Noble sale is on, I did a inventory search and there is NO Barnes and Noble in Los Angeles that has Paths of Glory in stock... what gives?

You can ask the person at the media section at Barnes & Noble to order one for you. Hopefully it shows up while the sale is still on.

Hear hear! I think I've bought 12 already... SUCH a good deal, with the member discount. SO happy I waited on a bunch of them.

Blow Out! One of my all-time favorites. I can't believe I was drawing a blank. Excellent news!

Great news! Criterion's announcements have been nothing short of amazing this past year.

ETA: Should we be concerned that there are no blue accents on that owl?

Apparently Criterion have mentioned on facebook that no blue on the clue doesn't necessarily mean no blu-ray. Someone at criterionforum stated that only upgrades from their own catalog get the shading. They also point to the fact that all recent mainline releases have been on both formats.

I just hawked my MGM version of Blow Out a month ago, too; for once, I was ahead of the curve.
