When they have their sales, what kind of prices are we looking at for Criterion BD titles?

Anywhere from $13-$20 for the $40 titles. It depends on whether or not you have a membership and if you do, if the cashier allows you to use a $5 coupon on each title. $40 - $20 (sale) - $2 (membership discount) - $5 (coupon) = $13. Use the same formula for the higher priced titles to get the final discounted price.

I think Coral meant for Canadians who have to order online.

I got them for $18.99 shipped to Australia if that's any help for Canada buyers, I expect it would be slightly cheaper to Canada for shipping.

I heard they weren't good with getting Criterions on time? I got a decent deal on it through Amazon using a gift card so it's not terrible.

Awesome, I'll get those both on day one.

I really like the art for Cronos too. It looks like it's by Mike Mignola. (Probably is, I know him and Guillermo Del Toro good friends)

It is Mignola. I want everything being released the rest of the year.

same here. If B&N is still around next year and continues with their Criterion sales, I may be tempted to pick up Chronos but it's not an imperative for me. I gave Videodrome a second shot in one of the sales a year or so back. Still didn't click with me and I sold it off quick with no regrets.

The selections are just fine with me though, as from now through November Is going to be fairly brutal in general.

The breather will give me a chance to actually sit down and watch the bounty ahead.

Only two releases? Cronos didn't really grab me, but I'll rent the Blu-ray. I'm on the fence on a Videodrome triple-dip, but it's nice to see some new extras included.

December is always light for Criterion.

Last year was just A Christmas Tale (which was delayed from November) and Gimme Shelter. There were years when they didn't release anything in December.

I think I may just end up breaking that BBS set up and selling off a few of the titles.
Don't really care about Head and Easy Rider. Of the others, I'll watch FEP, DHS, ASP and KOMG, but if they don't click for me, I'm sure someone out there will be happy not to have to buy the set to get them.

Last Picture Show is the only must have for me, and worth it enough to take a chance on the entire set.

Nothing. (Well, movieIQ if you want to count BD-Live.)

The only items on the existing Sony BD are the Hopper solo commentary and Shaking the Cage documentary. It looks like they've both been ported over.

New extra features on Videodrome blu? Am I missing something? They look the same. I've got the SD version but added extras might push me to re-purchase.

Well, the DVD release of the BBS Box Set is in December. The Blu-Ray is released in November (hopefully in time for the B&N 50% off sale)...

But the Betamax reproduction wouldn't really work in a Blu-ray case, size-wise.
