Dead Man is totally worth checking out if you're a Jarmusch fan. It's a one of JJ's best. There's an existing blu-ray that's available for under $9, that is a very good transfer. I will upgrade if there's significant extras, which I'm guessing there will be from Criterion.

I looked at his IMDB profile, and Ghost Dog is the only movie of his I have seen. So I can't say if I'm a fan of his work or not based on one movie. But I'll likely check out Dead Man now, thanks.

It also features a Johnny Depp performance before he became "Johnny Depp". And you really can't go wrong with any Jarmusch film.

The name is milo, and the image is real but we don’t know if it’s streaming only or if they’ll actually get physical releases.

A work print version of NOTLD?! Love it!

Only downside is that Criterion's version doesn't come with the "One For The Fire" documentary. Maybe I need the Japanese Blu Ray too, but I'm stoked

Who was it that said Silence was going to be released again?

re: The Criterion Collection 4K/Blu-ray Discussion and Release Thread

I compared Silence to all the previous releases on DVD and Blu-ray, and it looks like it contains substantially most of the previous bonus material.

It includes the commentary, and some deleted scenes that were exclusive to the previous Criterion DVD release.

It looks like it might be missing the material from the "Breaking the Silence" picture-in-picture supplement, which had new interview material in 2009. It might also be missing outtakes and the Hopkins phone call, though those might be included in the "Deleted scenes" section.

Same here. Looks like I can find a new home for the previous DVD's as well since the vast majority of material is being included on the new release.

NOTLD and Lambs in the same month, I'm down for both.

Never heard of the Anubis version before, has that ever been mentioned?

Silence of the Lambs, no brainer. That cover is fantastic. However, I probably will keep my Criterion dvd (missing supplements) and MGM Blu-Ray (it's part of a box set w/Hannibal and Red Dragon). The next Criterion flash sale can't get here soon enough.

Very cool, now we just need a decent version of Dawn of the Dead on Blu.

That Arrow import isn't bad. I wish the extended cut was on blu in that set though.

Would love for Criterion to get the rights to the original Dawn. Or even Scream! Factory.

Richard P. Rubenstein owns the rights and the word on the street is he wants a huge amount to license it now. No one is going to touch it until the price comes down.
