It really just elaborates on the cost difference of the set without giving any really good information. That information is necessary when deciding to order this or the standalone set since there is about a 50 dollar difference. Maybe they're waiting until the end of the season to tell us what it will come with. Maybe a replica of Ben's "childhood" shirt or one of the gas cans they used for the purge will be included.

I hope there's a ton of interesting Dharma goodies. If there is, I may have to go with the deluxe version seeing as how I am a diehard fan and likely always will be.

There needs to be a crapload of stuff considering the $50 difference in price. pinata's not far off in wanting a Dharma jumpsuit for that kind of a difference.

I pre-ordered the regular version at the 49.99 price but if I found out that the Dharma kit is going to include some awesome stuff then I'll cancel it and re-order.

Yeah, I really can't find a single reason why I would want to pay more than the price of the standard season set.

What do you think the street price of the complete series will be on Blu-Ray? $199? I don't know if you can sell a box set (even on Blu-Ray) for anymore than that these days. I've been holding off on buying any seasons in anticipation of a loaded complete series box set.

Maybe the SD set for $200, no way the BD set will be that cheap when each individual set SRPs for @$100.

My guess is that the entire series will be right at or just under 199 unless they decide to include some cool collectibles as well. I just don't think that they can repackage the same stuff and get many fans to repurchase them when quite a few already will own the majority if not all of the series. Battlestar can get away with the higher price since each season hasn't yet been released on Blu-Ray. I know I won't consider a purchase of a set of the entire series of Lost until I can get it under 150 and even then it would have to give me good reason to since I will already own at least 5 of the seasons.

$200 still seems low. That's only $33 per season. Lost is a huge property and that price, for BD sets no less, is practically giving them away. That's ignoring the fact that individual seasons are priced at $90. To unload those individual seasons they would have to drop them to something similar, so you are looking at a $60 drop on each season. Also unlikely. I dunno, just thinking/typing aloud.

You can use that as an indicator to get an idea of what a complete series set of LOST will be....in other words: it SHOULD be even MORE than that price, considering Lost will have more episodes and seasons than BSG, and therefore need even more discs for their complete series set than the 20 discs in the BSG set....

Yes, Universal makes BSG, and Disney handles Lost, so they may have different pricing strategies, but considering the pricing trends we have unfortunately seen out of Disney lately, I just can't imagine they would put out a complete series set at less than $399 list....

At a 399 price point I would have to say No Thanks! That is too much for someone who already owns the majority of the seasons. Maybe if they did some kind of rebate for all of us that have invested in prior seasons on Blu-Ray (and possibly SD) would it even be close to worth it. You're not getting an increase in quality on the previous 5 seasons and will probably ony minimally get anything new added as far as special features go. Now, if they throw in a 1:1 replica of the hatch I would be down for that. I'm sure I could find a place in my neighborhood to put it and some kids with free time on their hands during the summer to input the code.

Well, I said $399 might be the LIST price, and no one actually pays MSRP (if they know what they're doing)....I'd say a $399 list price could translate into more like a $275-299 actual sale price range.....still a hefty one time investment, but that would average out to 45-50 a season, and something like 2.35-2.50 per episode, which is in line with the individual season costs....

I mean, look at that Season 1-5 bundle at Amazon, it has a $350 MSRP and it is currently being discounted to $240.49....add in the final season set, and I think my prediction is pretty close....

275-299 would be ok especially if they include some kind of rebate for owning some or all of the seasons. I think they would be mistaken to bank on selling tons of these at a higher price point considering many of the LOST fans have already purchased most if not all of the sets that are released. The only guarantee on big numbers would be to go back to each season and include as many extras as possible as well as the option to watch each episode (that has them) with the fact track.
