Smallville S7 - (I have all the other seasons, picked this up for $34. Loved it, but the filming was soft and out of focus a few times)

The Dark Knight - (moire popped up a few times and ruinded great video quality. The "IMax" filmed chase sceen, the best dark night sceen ever on Blu-Ray, it really shows off what Blu_Ray on HDTV.

Transformers - (Best VQ out of the "3 Blu-Ray Movies" I own)

re: Last BD or 4K UHD disc you watched?

Finally watched Speed Racer tonight, which I have had since the day of it's release due to pre-ordering it through a Columbia House B1G1 sale. I enjoyed it this time even more than I did in the theater. Truly an excellent family film and a great transition from anime to the big screen. And WOW... did the Blu-ray visuals amaze me. What an amazing looking film. If there is anything to comment on it's that while I enjoyed the audio mix I would have preferred lossless audio by a long shot. Hopefully they will release it that way someday so I can experience the film to it's fullest.

^ every review I've read (print and online) has asked why Warner's didn't do lossless for 'Speed Racer' - they should just fess up and repress this with lossless like they did for 'Superman Returns'

^ agreed. lossless sound to go along with that PQ would have made it a must-own.

Akira

Very good PQ and the sound was jaw and picture dropping. I think my walls are still cursing me.

A Time To Kill Decent courtroom drama thriller. Has Dolby TrueHD but didn't notice too terribly much from the surrounds.

Twilight

It was pretty good. Better than I was expecting. I still can't believe the little boy from Panic Room turned out to be a chick I wanna bang. PQ was terrific. Haven't watched the extras due to the fact it was a rental and I plan on buying it. I don't watch the extras on a disc if I plan on buying as to give me more motivation.

she did have a masculine or tomboyish quality to her but she is growing in to one attractive young woman.

re: Last BD or 4K UHD disc you watched?

My wife and Daughter loved the Twilight books and the movie in the theater.

So, she had me go buy it last night at Target (Blu-Ray of coarse) and we all watched together last night.

It was a very enjoyable movie and the extras were great!

This morning I put in the Panic Room DVD (Superbit) and watched that to remind me of how good of an actress Kristen Stewart is/was. She acted somewhat the same in both movies. She had a "Nervousness about her" (shaking leg in kitchen while drinking Coke...), got in a big fight and she had to do the "I'm really hurt/moaning scene". Glad to see here doing well, she was PERFECT as Bella and in Panic Room.

Video quality was clean, but not the best I have ever seen. Then again, it was a grey over cast and dark movie. Great purchase.

^ while yes, it wasn't the best PQ I've ever seen, I was pleasantly surprised it looked so good. I can't imagine the DVD coming even close to it.

I just finished watching Bolt. Excellent PQ/AQ. The film itself is very cute and a wonderful way to spend 96 minutes. I highly recommend it (especially for $16)!

I bet the score helped in that department. I was not a big fan of the movie, but I have John Williams score. Amazing stuff!

Trulies... now that you say that, I may pick up the score as well! Awesome 'cuz he usually does action films, but showed he could easily switch genres and got that Asian-influence stuff down pat!

Mummy 3 - Very nice AQ and PQ but boy did that movie suck. I'm usually OK with movies low on plot, high on action, but this one really went beyond the ability to entertain. Mario Bello with a terrible English accent should have been the producers first clue they were beating the proverbial dead horse. No wonder she didn't appear in any of the trailers.

Kung Fu Panda and Punisher: War Zone (2 very different movies)

Panda's PQ was absolute reference. Beautiful to watch. Punisher is a better movie with a very stylized look. Looked (and sounded) awesome. I loved Dominic West as Jigsaw.
