Also, that also is working under the assumption that your Blu-Ray player can handle MP3's.
It would certainly be great if they could....I just don't know if its possible for the Blu-ray player to understand what to do with a file that would come out well after the disc was already authored.

I already got Iron Man, but after seeing this post I also ordered Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Let's see if they ship it.

Others have gotten new releases early as well from Tower.

How fast is Tower's free shipping? Just wondering if this is worth it over just ordering it from Amazon.

The website says 8-14 days I think. But members at blu-ray.com have said they usually have gotten stuff 2-4 days. With the USPS, you never know.

Cool, I'll give it a shot with Expedited just to be safe.

You make a good point. I hadn't thought about the two playing simultaneously...I am used to having my iPod playing seperatly with Rifftrax.

I suppose it would work like the PIP commentaries, there has to be some kind of software trigger to have it play with the movie.

Or just distribute the MP3 via the Blu-Ray player and let the user figure out how to play it.

Well, lets say you download an MP3 off of BD-Live.

What do you do then? Click play? If so, when clicking play, will it know to launch the movie at the same time and play the MP3 at the same time as well? Will all BD Players be able to understand that as well? While it would be a great feature, I think the studios would much rather sell you another version of the film instead.

Oh without a doubt they would love to see us another version...but this might be an excellent way for them to gauge (and perfect to a degree) VOD.

Yeah, if this shows up quickly I'll probably use them more. Leaning towards ordering the Apatow movie 3 pack from them too.

Mine is still stuck on "Shipping Soon", oh well. I've had pretty good luck with Tower in the past (they had Paprika for less than $19 which never seemed to happen back then).

Iron Man and Forgetting Sarah Marshall shipped for me this morning as well.

I see now that they list them as pre-order again. Was this a one time thing?
