I thought the Tartan titles were out of print because they went under.

The AB titles routinely hit around $10 on random sites after a few months. I'm waiting it out before buying Heathers.

I snapped that from amazon on December 1 for $11.99. :D

WMAangel 12-13-08 10:39 AM

In case anyone missed it, Amazon has yet another buy 2 get 1 free sale going here:

http://www.amazon.com/b/ref=amb_link...rd_i=193640011

This one includes 220 titles, including some that haven't been a part of previous sales...it says this one runs through December 17....

I was finally able to snag Jerry Maguire and I Know What You Did Last Summer (along with Starship Troopers)!

That's more like it! There's a ridiculous number of combos to be found in all that.

DthRdrX 12-13-08 05:42 PM

Some good deals, but they jacked the prices on a ton of titles that were dirt cheap during the BF sale.

That's true. But there are also some others (Casino Royale Collector's Edition, Persepolis, Redbelt) included that up the ante, along with the other tempting ones from before (The Mist, 1408, etc.).

Zen Peckinpah 12-13-08 10:59 PM

Once I get my hands on my Amazon rewards certificate, I'm grabbing The Fall, Starship Troopers, and In the Line of Fire.

Goldberg74 12-14-08 10:44 PM

Not that big of deal, but Amazon has "Traitor" on pre-order of $21.99. Comes out 12/19.

Just as an FYI. I saw this in the theater and I really don't recommend it as a blind buy. Rent it first to see of you like it.

Good advice.

I saw it in the theater and really liked it. Solid performance from Don Cheadle and the rest of the cast, great action, thought provoking POV, and a good twist.

With this price being only a few dollars above the DVD price, if you liked it, grab it before it goes up again. Or buy it, watch it once and trade it away.

I concur. I saw it in the theater and liked it, but have no desire to own it...

Just got a shipping notice on my Buy 2 Get 1 Free Criterion deal from Amazon a while back. The prices shipped out at the correct amount for those whose orders still say "Price determined upon shipment."

That's an insane deal! Makes me happy that I have waited to buy it.

I'll bet Amazon will match that as well and I can save on sales tax.

Amazon has The Happening for $14.99

A crappy movie at a decent price

Depends on your taste. I 'happen' to like The Happening. But I already got it for $15 from a Columbia House B1G1 and it arrived the day of its release.

I got it as rental from BB. For me there just wasn't enough happening in The Happening:boring:

buy it after having seen it.

If the Mamma Mia (BD) is less than the $26.99 I pre-ordered it for, I'm gonna be pissed.

It's scheduled to be delivered today, but it may just sit in the box until tomorrow afternoon.

I wouldn't be too worried, I bet that one is Resistance 2

Donnie Brasco
50 First Dates
BS Dracula
Kung Fu Hustle

 So nice of them to have a B2G1 sale with these titles, then the very next day make them cheaper. Picked up Black Hawk Down, The Patriot, and Hellboy just two days ago for an average price of $13.30.

3:10 to Yuma had been $30 during the B2G1 sale, now it's $15.

So, you got a two-day rental for $0.31 per title! :)

Gizmo 12-18-08 10:00 AM

So not going to buy titles on release week anymore. Heathers dropped ro $13.49 already? Damn.
