This will be the one time that I will have to head out there when they open just to make sure I get all 6. I missed out on the Target Indy exclusive and that was me just heading over there after work so I'm not taking a chance on these.

Somewhat related. All 21 Bond films just showed in HD on Comcast OnDemand here. From Russia With Love, with 5.1 Sound and in HD looks and sounds great. It's also among five or six of the Bond films that are free.

Four of the six titles are now listed as SteelBooks. I'm sure the other two will follow shortly.

James Bond: Die Another Day (Future Shop Exclusive Steelbook) (2002) (Blu-ray)

James Bond: Dr. No (Future Shop Exclusive Steelbook) (1963) (Blu-ray)

James Bond: For Your Eyes Only (Future Shop Exclusive SteelBook) (1981) (Blu-ray)

James Bond: From Russia With Love (Future Shop Exclusive Steelbook) (1963) (Blu-ray)

I think monkeys were assigned to put together these new Bond sets.

On all the copies I've seen so far, FOX has put a sticker for the Quantum Of Solace Movie Cash on the SLIP COVER part of the box (instead of over the shrink wrap of the case).

This is a huge problem for two reasons:

1) The sticker is a bitch to get off and leaves a nasty residue.

But more importantly

2) There's NO Movie cash inside the cases...the back of the movie cash sticker has a website and code that you have to use online (www.quantumofsolacemoviecash.com) to print out your tickets. However, MOST of the print on the back of the sticker winds up showing up on the FRONT of your slip cover!

I have no idea if Goo-Gone will remove the ink or not...but a warn of warning that buyers should be very, very careful removing these!

Didn't Sony do the same with the Hancock tickets on Men in Black?

And for those that bought the Steelbooks...do they include free tickets as well?

I was able to "rub off" most of the ink on the Men in Black slipcover using just my finger. At least, to the point where it didn't look that bad.

Holy cow! That looks even more impressive than the From Russia With Love screenshots.

I was gonna wait until a price drop and an entire boxset but the screenshots, reviews, movie cash and steelbooks have easily won me over. I just hope they do steelbooks for all of them so I don't end up having half of my JB collection in steelbooks and the other have standard cases. I am not super anal about what it looks like on my shelf...but that would suck.

Fucking e-cash. Give me the printed movie money! Now I'm going to have to wait till November 14th and jump through way more hoops to get my cash back out of it.

Yeah, this summer some friends of mine and I had the eticket from Best Buy for The Incredible Hulk. When we got to the theater, they wouldn't accept all 6 of ours because the system showed them as having already been used. Those things are a pain in the neck.

Just an FYI, Amazon has their "exclusive" 6 BD box set for $111.95. As much as I want the steelbooks, at $18.66 per BD, I have to go with that. I'd rather have the movies now than slowly buy the stelbooks one by one.

I would go with Amazon over Steelbooks at that price too, but I'm just not liking the flimsy cardboard cases and foam center hubs with the box sets. I'm willing to pay ~$7 more per disc to have proper cases --- steel, plastic, whatever.

If you buy all 6 at Circuit City (in-store) at $21.99 each, you get $5 off each two, making it about the same deal as Amazon, and you get individual packaging.

That's exactly what I was gonna post. You get them individually with movie cash on each for $19.50. That's a damn good deal.

I think I may go with that than the steelbooks. I may try to price match it but I am worried that later down the line, they may skip a steelbook, the price may go up on the later releases, whatever. And the $33 difference (if you buy all 6 and BB won't price match), may be the biggest deciding factor in buying them at CC instead of the steelbooks.

I guess the question is, is the steelbook worth the extra $5.50 each??? I will try to price match and may get the steelbook for the $21.99 price but I am afraid if I tried to push the extra $5 off per two, that may kill the deal with a BB manager. It's one thing for them to price match a set price but if they have to pull out the calculator, they tend to overthink things too much at the BBs I have been in. Any thoughts?

What's strange is CC doesn't have a price on the new BD release of Casino Royale. I haven't bought the old version yet and was planning on getting the new release with the other Bonds. Anyone know if it will be for sale there and what the price will be? Is it a new transfer for the newer BD release or the same package with a couple of lame extras added in? I guess the movie cash on the new release softens the blow a little bit.

I haven't ordered from Amazon yet, but after I posted my last response, I did wonder if they were going to be in those flimsy cases, or regular cases. I do NOT want those flinsy cases, so I might as well jump and get the steelbooks.

But here's my dilemma, so I hope someone can help. Does anyone know if the James Bond steelbooks can be purchased online from the Best Buy site? I'm leaving the country tomorrow for 2 weeks, but I would like to get these. I noticed on the their site that they do have double postings for the movies, like Die Another Day is listed as Widescreen dubbed, and the listing right below says Die Another Day (Bb). Is this the steelbook? Or can they even be purchased online? Any help would be appreciated.

The San Jose Mercury Fry's ad has the Bond singles for $16.99 each and the sets for $54.99 each starting Tuesday.

Woah. If I can get the Bond singles for $16.99 a pop, I won't bother with the Best Buy steelbooks.

I posted this in the bargain forum, too, but for those interested in checking it out, there are $10 off coupons (good only at Best Buy) in the Best Buy Quantum of Solace video game pre-order box sold at the stores. The pre-order box costs $5 (which may be refundable with just the receipt), so, at the minimum it's going to be $5 off any Bond DVD or Blu-Ray. It sounds like you can take the receipt back when you don't pick up the game and get a refund, though.

The coupon does state "Limit 1 per Customer", although I could've sworn those old $5 off video game coupons that came with gift cards said the same thing and they never seemed to care if I used more than one at a time. I had been considering "buying" another 5 coupons to at least get the price down to $19.99 per title (possibly $14.99 if the pre-sell refund works).

Yep, I believe they are on the Bestbuy site. You have to search for each individual title, then select the one that is $24.99. The non-steelbook is $22.99. I don't think, er hope, these will be that hard to get over the next week or two.

Edit: I just noticed that when I searched for one of the titles, they have a link to preorder any of the six steelbooks.

Well, I just noticed I have $15 in reward zone certificates, and will do the Blu-ray Magnolia demo for another $10 coupon. So I guess I will be going to Best Buy after all.

Are you sure that price is for the Blu-rays? Fry's Web site shows $16.99 for the DVDs, $24.99 for the Blu-rays.
