(Seems odd that the individually priced Bond Blu-rays are cheaper than buying them together in a set. Maybe it's a mistake?)

Either way, that price is killer. Now if Best Buy would pricematch that for the steelbooks, that would make my week.

any one know if Best Buy will price match CC on these, even though Best Buy has the Steelbooks?

I think it is going to be a "mileage may vary" thing.

Yeah. My Best Buy won't price match any other places unless it's EXACTLY the same item. Even if another place is offering the DVD plus a free give-away, my Best Buy won't match the other store's DVD price. They always come up with the flimsy line, "That's a special promotion item they're selling and we don't carry that version. Sorry."

Fry's has the Bond Blu for $16.99 each.

... And next time, I'll read the previous posts first

HDD's first non-Craig Bond review of For Your Eyes Only and he's very happy with it:

Yes! Today's LA Times has the Fry's ad with the Bond Blu-rays listed at $16.99.

(Can I ramp up my savings by taking the ad to my local Circuit City having them pricematch and then cashing in on their $5 off when I purchase two at a time? That would bring the cost of each disc down to $14.49.)

I'll bet the price match would override the $5 off. I'm going to see if the people at my Best Buy are dumb enough to price match these with Fry's even though BB is selling the steel books.

People in my area have no idea what Frys even is. I've never been to one either.

That might send some Internet retailers into Chapter 11.

I used to see the Fry's ad in the Chronicle when I was going to Houston regularly for work. Always bummed me out that they aren't around here. With CC going down the tubes, maybe that will change!

If the IL Fry's has these for 16.99 I will definitely bite on a few if not all of them.

Yep. Used goo-gone and that did trick, but it's annoying (good luck getting the ink off, though)

It's in today's Chicago Tribune, so yes.

Bought 3 Bonds at my local Target this morning. They had a "price cut" price of $19.99.

Are the stickers the same as the one used for Men in Black? Even with goo gone, that was a pain to remove.

Also, the BB I went to did not have a lot of the steelbooks, I only saw around 10 or so of each title.

I got to CC this morning, expecting to buy all six movies at $21.99, with $5 off each two, as advertised in their flyer. Needless to say, they had none on hand, and their staff was perfectly clueless about the situation. I guess it's no wonder they're going out of business. So I went to Best Buy, hoping against hope that they would price match the steelbooks. And they did! Got all six for $132 total! Of course, YMMV, but I hope BB continues the SBs for the entire series, now that they've got me hooked.

BTW: She balked at the $5 off part, so I decided not to press my luck!

Does anyone know if the steelbook titles are available for in store pickup? The website shows two different Blu-Ray listings for the Bond titles.
