It Gets Worse
I think monkeys were assigned to put together these new Bond sets.
On all the copies I've seen so far, FOX has put a sticker for the Quantum Of Solace Movie Cash on the SLIP COVER part of the box (instead of over the shrink wrap of the case).
This is a huge problem for two reasons:
1) The sticker is a bitch to get off and leaves a nasty residue.
But more importantly
2) There's NO Movie cash inside the cases...the back of the movie cash sticker has a website and code that you have to use online (www quantumofsolacemoviecash com]) to print out your tickets. However, MOST of the print on the back of the sticker winds up showing up on the FRONT of your slip cover!
I have no idea if Goo-Gone will remove the ink or not...but a warn of warning that buyers should be very, very careful removing these!

There is a link to all the steelbooks (6). Should be fine for in-store pickup. The steelbooks are $24.99 as opposed to the regular Blu-Ray's which are $22.99 at BB.
The Blu Bond Steelbook titles all have (Bb) next to the title on the BB site.

So I watched DR. NO in Blu-Ray last night.
DAMN, THAT'S GREAT PICTURE QUALITY for a 1962 movie!!!
In the gunbarrel opening, for instance, you can now make out BOB SIMMONS' (Connery's stunt double's) face looking at the camera, and not Sean Connery. You can clearly make out his face now.

I got BB to price match Fry's for the Dr. No steelbook, so I was very happy. The Volume 2 collection already shipped from Amazon as part of that B2G1 deal a while back, otherwise I would have got 3 more steelbooks.

My Best Buy was sold out of Die Another Day & Dr. No. I bought the other 4 (the last From Russia With Love & Thunderball). I asked customer service if they would price match Target. The manager said Yes. After a half hour wait. She said No because Best Buy was an exclusive steelbook. I bought anyway and used the $10 coupon from the Quantum Of Solace game. She also said they didn't have Die Another Day or Dr. No scheduled for delivery later this week.

I just took a run to Fry's (thankfully only 10 min. away), and they had all 6. But for some reason, Thunderball wa snot out on the new release section with the other five, and it was not phased into the regular BD section.
I just nosed around under the shelves and found a box full of Thunderball. 16.99 each is great given the reviews I've seen. Now I'm committed to buying the rest (in my mind), so I hope this pricing trend continues at Fry's when waves 2 and 3 come out. Although on the up side those waves will contain more of my favorites so a higer price would be more palatable.

I ended up going back to Best Buy and they did indeed have Dr. No and Die Another Day contrary to what I had been told earlier at Best Buy. I used another Quantum Of Solace coupon so I at least got $20 off 2day (after I return with my receipts later to get my $10 back). I tried Best Buy CSR on phone since I had been turned down price matching in-store but I was told Best Buy does not price match Exclusives whether they have one or someone else has one. I guess I'm outta luck.

Got my six pack from Amazon (well, the two three packs sold together) and no issues with the code/sticker. It was on the outer cellophane wrap and not on the plastic case.

Went to PM the Bond steelbooks at BB using a Fry's print out. I made sure to buy them first and take them to CS afterward. That way, I was able to get an extra 10% of the diff and to avoid any hassles with PMing steelbooks. The receipt doesn't say what they are other than the title and that they're blu rays. Had no problems whatsoever.

In addition to the old Bond films, I also bought the new 2-disc Casino Royale. The slipcover has a suede feel to it. Very cool.
Some of the Bonds I got at Target. Unfortunately, just like Sony did with Men in Black, Fox/MGM used the stickiest glue known to man to fasten the movie ticket sticker. I have peeled off one of them so far and managed to keep the code in tact. But the sticker leaves the print on the cover. I've just sprayed a gallon of Goo Gone to get rid of it.
Why do they let stupidity like this go through?
