Dr No, From Russia with Love, Thunderball, For Her Eyes Only, the other one (forgot name), Die Another Day, Casino Royale |
Live and Let Die was Roger Moore's first Bond film, and came before For Your Eyes Only.
Personally I'm going to try and rewatch FYEO this weekend. I havn't seen it since I was a kid. Most young adults find it extremely boring compared to the usual camp Bond-Moore films. |

http://www.klast.net/bond/filmlist.html Dr. No (1962) From Russia With Love (1963) Goldfinger (1964) Thunderball (1965) You Only Live Twice (1967) On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) Diamonds Are Forever (1971) Live and Let Die (1973) The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) Moonraker (1979) For Your Eyes Only (1981) Octopussy (1983) A View to a Kill (1985) The Living Daylights (1987) Licence to Kill (1989) GoldenEye (1995) Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) The World is Not Enough (1999) Die Another Day (2002) Casino Royale (2006) Quantum of Solace (2008) There isn't much continuity from one film to the next, so watching them in order is not necessarily important. |
I would recommend not even viewing the Roger Moore Bond's...
I completely forgot how horrible they were. |
I just read that the firmware (version 4.30) for the Sony S300 Blu-ray player is on their site and that the 6 Bond titles will now play on that machine.

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu...20®ion_id=1 Then choose your OS. Whether it makes a difference or not, it gives a slightly different URL depending on OS. Select File Catagory = Firmware or expand the 'Firmware - 2 file(s)' node down below. You should then see 2 file choices. One has the date 10/31/2008 and version 4.30. |

I completely forgot how horrible they were. Roger Moore's best Bonds are: Live and Let Die The Spy Who Loved Me For Your Eyes Only They were bad-ass, at least growing up. |

Just watched Live and Let Die... Meh, I really didn't care for it much. Of course, it didn't help I watched it after From Russia With Love, lol.

Still better though than the Daltons or Brosnans.

Everyone has their favorite Bond :) Im finally getting around to watching these for the transfers, and so far so good. Though I do HATE the box the 2 sets come in. Tiny letters on the spine, and you cant see the 007 logo unless you look at it just right.

Thanks, Jim. I am one of the few, it seems, on here to have the Sharp Blu-ray player, and was coming in here to announce that the firmware upgrade was available now on their website. I just happened to go to their website today with the intentions of letting them know other manufacturers have issued their updates and if Sharp was unable to do that soon, I would not only be buying someone else's player immediately, but would probably never buy a Sharp product again.
Lo and behold, the upgrade was there, although I also checked this morning and it wasn't, yet the website says it was created 10/29/08. I have loaded the new firmware and it works. I have only played Dr. No so far, but will put all the discs in later tonight and make sure they're running. |

Cool, I'm glad it can finally play Fox discs again. It isn't my main player, but I really want discs to work on all my players. I held off on Young Frankenstein because it wouldn't work on the Sharp. I'm just wondering if For Your Eyes Only is also fixed. That one seemed majorly screwed on many players.

I watched the first half of "For Your Eyes Only" late last night until I decided I really needed to go to bed. It played perfectly and looked stunning.

I just downloaded an update for the Dell version of PowerDVD. Hopefully other people got updates as well.

Note to Fox: If you're going to start this, you'd better go all the way. I'll be pissed if I pick these steelbooks up and then the others don't follow.

I just picked up the Blu-ray Bond sets...Is there a site to check which theaters participate in the e-movie cash promotion? I'd like to use the tickets, but I don't know what theaters will accept them...
Thanks! |
