Thanks!

I know that AMC theaters will not accept them, other than that, I'm not sure.

Those stickers were awful. Whoever designed that promotion needs to be fired.
  • Barely came off, leaving most of the text on the slipcovers.
  • Ripped easily, almost ruining the code.
  • Left more residue on my finger tips and case than any sticker I've ever used.
  • Placed over coverart, ruining image unless goo gone works well.
  • Placed on slipcovers, so one could return the DVD but still have the free moviecash.

Stickers need to be on shrinkwrap only, no exceptions. Codes need to be inside the case to discourage fraud, no exceptions.

The link on the tickets gives different results than the one you provided. The one on the tickets redirects to http://new.emoviecash.com/emp_locator/. From the link you provided I get 15-20 choices. From the link on the tickets I only get 2 theaters within a 15 mile radius. I haven't used the tickets yet so I don't know which listing of theaters is most accurate.

The Bond Steelbooks at Best Buy had the stickers on the shrinkwrap... I didnt realize the standard releases had them just stuck on the slipcase, that sucks.

Jim 11-20-08 11:10 AM

If you have trouble reading the codes on the stickers, there is a page at the quantumofsolacemoviecash site that provides an alternative way to get your tickets by giving them your email and providing the original proof of purchase receipt (no copies).

this packaging is BALLS. My clear plastic slip cover on the golden set is horribly bubbled and nasty looking. Vol. 1's looks fine, but it had a loose disc upon arrival...argh.

I got mine from Amazon (standard release). Codes were on the shrinkwrap for me also

I like the packaging for the most part. I got it from Amazon and it's in perfect condition, no flaws, and I even like how the discs sit in the cases. I know I'm way in the minority though.

I like the packaging too.

Any word on what movies might be in the next series? I read that Vol. 3 is tentatively scheduled for March. I was checking the DVD sets and there doesn't seem to be any clue on what they chose to release.

Yeah, I received my two box sets from Amazon this week and they were better than I expected (based on all the negative comments I've read). Of course, I guess it helps to receive them in nice condition. I did, and I really like the packaging. I hope Amazon has a great sale like that again when the next ones come out. :)

A lot of people are thinking The Living Daylights and Octopussy, due to the dvd-only rerelease a few weeks back.

Personally, I think we'll see 1 Dalton film, 2 Brosnan films, 2 Moore Films, and 1Connery film.

NiCK Crush 11-27-08 07:23 PM

are there any pics of the inside of the boxsets?

SIUmark 11-28-08 02:43 PM

Blu-ray.com is listing Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, The Spy Who Loved Me, Licence To Kill, Goldeneye, and The World Is Not Enough as the next batch (if Australia advertising is correct).

Artman 11-28-08 02:45 PM

Definitely holding out until Black Friday next yr for those lol!!

I will buy all of these. They managed to include my favorite Moore, Dalton, and Brosnan films in one batch.

My favorite Connery, Moore, Dalton, and Brosnan film!

The third wave will be the weakest but I'm looking forward to seeing OHMSS in HD.

You sure you're not thinking about the "Hancock" promotion? I've gotten numerous Bond stickers and none of them have had any of the problems which you describe.

Jim 12-03-08 11:41 AM

TheDigitalBits.com has a rumor mill item that says Moonraker will be in the next wave of Bond titles instead of The Spy Who Loved Me.

NiCK Crush 12-03-08 03:11 PM

I really hope Best Buy continues on with the Steelbooks...

My stickers came on the slipcover. They were a pain to get off, but I got them off and used rubbing alcohol to remove the residue. They look great now. (Mine came from Amazon.)
