Blerg. Oh well. Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace already weren't steelbooks, so it's not like my cases were uniform to begin with.

Re: The Official Bond on Blu-ray Thread
Yeah, but I also threw in Never Say Never Again, so I'm already screwed!

Re: The Official Bond on Blu-ray Thread
I have the all the Bond steelbooks except for Dr. No...anyone interested in trading the cases? My OCD wants some semblance of uniformity.

Nor a Volume 4. Really pissed at MGM for dropping the Steelbooks. I won't be playing that game anymore.

Have any new ones been announced yet?

Yes. That's why everyone's talking about them.
Just asking since I recently got License to Kill and Golden Gun from my buddy at Fox. |
Re: The Official Bond on Blu-ray Thread
Poor sales of the past two waves have pretty much killed them for the time being. They'll come out eventually...just not as fast as the previous 3 waves. We have what, 9 Bonds left?

I still need to pick-up License to Kill and The Man with the Golden Gun. |

Re: The Official Bond on Blu-ray Thread
Probably. They were releasing these too quickly anyway. I'd bet most people couldn't keep up. So now we'll wait a bit longer, while people have more time to purchase from the old waves, but soon enough they will put out the rest. It will likely just take a bit longer for the rest to arrive. It's not a big deal if your like me and still missing some and if you have any that are unwatched.

I passed on those two as well (lack of Steelbook versions and no sale price the first week).

Doesn't seem like MGM has much on their slate. |
Re: The Official Bond on Blu-ray Thread
Iam sure we will see another wave sometime before the end of the year or sometime in 2010.

Re: The Official Bond on Blu-ray Thread
I agree, that it would be nice. but atleast we know when they do come they will look excellent.

2010 is a given, but another wave to wrap up some of the 'missing' titles in between some of the films would be nice.

Re: The Official Bond on Blu-ray Thread
They'll probably release some to coincide with the SE of Quantum of Solace, whenever that one comes out.

For me, it was just the price. I'm collecting the indivs with slips. I didn't plan on buying any Bonds, but that deal on Black Friday was too wonderful to pass up.

Re: The Official Bond on Blu-ray Thread
Just found this at commanderbond.net
apparently Mgm is going to reissueing the prior bond box sets at a new lower MSRP of 69.99 in Sept. www.commanderbond.net/article/6328 so perhaps if you havent bought them yet, you might want to hold off till sept to purchase them. |
