I'll be getting Goldfinger and then I think I'll have all of the past Bond movies that I really need on Blu-ray.

Definitely Goldfinger, but since I have the first 6 on Blu now I may end up getting them all even though I don't care much for Brosnan.

Same here even though I swore I would never re-buy these films again after the last deluxe editions on standard dvd. I bought the three packs since they were on sale at Best Buy and I was in a Blu-Ray buying frenzy. They look and sound fantastic but I realy should just stick with getting the ones I want.

I didn't dislike Brosnan but other than Goldeneye I didn't care for any of his films. Moonraker is always ranked near the bottom of Bond films but I have a soft spot for it as it was the first one I ever saw in a theater as a kid.

I'm just going to move into a Steelbook house, covers it all.

BTW I watched Dr. No tonight and it looks amazing, one of the best HD discs I've seen yet.

Goldfinger SB is listed now as $27.99. Best Buy had them for $24.99.

Same here. For the other two it offers to let you sign up for notification when it's available. Went ahead and pre-ordered Goldfinger.

Tempting...but I might wait for BB's ad to see if these come out in store. I'd rather pay a few bucks more and cherry pick the dent-less ones instead of hoping Amazon does not send me ones with nicks/dents in the cases. I'd be shocked if BB didn't carry these as the last 6 were available and it seems like a punch to those who don't frequent online forums. Now...will Solace be in a steelbook is the question.

The only reason I would doubt that Best Buy will be carrying the steelbooks is because Amazon lists them as "Amazon exclusive." I suppose it's possible though, guess we'll find out...

As to Quantum of Solace possibly being a steelbook, it would kind of suck to have Casino Royale be the only one out of the whole bunch to not be available in that style...

and Casino Royale.

I'm hoping they plan to announce a few more Bonds. As much as I like Goldfinger it sucks if the only other catalog titles will be Moonraker and TWINE.

re: The Official Bond on Blu-ray Thread

$27.99 seems steep to me after getting all the other Bonds from Amazon. Since i've been blind buying these as someone that has never really seen the old Bond movies, I'll be waiting for them to be closer to $20, as i've seen the current batch for around that much on sale.

I think Casino is available in a SB in the UK or something. If Solace comes out in a SB, I'll import Royale so I can have them all match.

You could always do the ol' Goldbox trick and buy 1 and wait for the other 2 to popup at 10% off...then cancel the first one you ordered and wait for it to show up. Knocks it down to about $26ish (and if the title drops in price anymore from that amount, you still get the same 10% off savings at the highest amount you pre-ordered it for).

Still too much for me I don't really care about Steelbooks and I know I've seen the current Bonds out for $20 at Target, so I'll wait for something around that price.

I'll wait till I get them cheap and not in steelbooks. I have the first 2 waves in regular cases from Amazon and I'd rather keep the continuity of the cases.
