Have to wonder if some kind of sale is ever going to happen though. i've got $50 in best buy cards waiting for that rumored 75% off sale. |
what really sucks is they put up the price on Zodiac, but mine has been backordered for about 3 weeks now (got in at $19)

i'm in new zealand so amazon's ridiculous shipping charges for movies are a no-go for me, but thanks
|
Went to Hastings today and they had three aisle shelves full of HD-DVDs. One shelf was all brand new for $12.99. One shelf was all brand new (mostly the combo titles) for $16.99, and one shelf was stocked full of used titles for $9.99 each. I already have everything I want that was on sale - but someone might find something good with this sale...

Just in case it hasn't been posted:
Fry's had the BBC version of Planet Earth for $39.99 |
At Fry's I found that and the Ocean's 11/12/13 box set, which was $33.99 - cheaper than any price I could find online.

My Gamestop had B2G4 free when I went in last week, but they had total crap, in crappy condition, and not a single HD disk. WalMart had The Mummy for 12.00, Knocked Up for 17.00, and everything else at their full price. Not finding many deals here. Ah. Nice. Even though Earth was "in stock, ships in 1-2 days" when I ordered it, i just got the "Backorder, available in 3-4 weeks" email. Which means I won't get it. Gotta love non-real-time inventory systems. |
anywhere i can get blade runner for amazon's price that takes paypal? i don't know why i haven't gotten it yet, but i need to and it's been gone from ddd for a while now.

I was waiting for a better deal on Knocked Up. Glad I waited.
|
I'm thinking I'll go ahead and pull the trigger on Star Trek TOS S1. $79 shipped is a dandy price and is 20% less than the current best online price (Amazon), which itself is $40+ less than all the other online prices I can find (even Buy.com and DD).
AU$63.48 Star Trek - The Original Series: Season 1 (HD DVD / DVD Combo) (10 Disc Box Set) AU$20.00 Box set shipping & insurance ----- AU$83.48 Total Price 1 Australian Dollar = 0.94355 US Dollar (oanda.com, 4/23/08) US$78.77 Total I'll just have to invest in new cases, that's all. The packaging looks like teh suck. |
I got the email, too...figured Kenbuzz would've seen it first. ;)
Tempted to get Star Trek at that price. |
With prices like these, I think it is time I pulled the trigger. Thanks!
