I'm just a grad student - I got the (unpaid) AFI gig through school. AFI has been creating a catalog of every American film ever made, and they're up to the 1970's. Lately, they've been using grad students to create the individual write-ups.

He has done restoration work for films not on his label. Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Night of the Living Dead come to mind.

I'm genuinely curious as to why BU released the film at all. It's obscure, relatively gore-free, and has no cult following. I'm guessing it's a personal favorite of someone at BU, for reasons unknown.

Zombie press release, with extras

How do I resize an image with Photobucket? It shrunk down the above image to an illegible size when I tried to paste in into the thread.

well... for the completist the Media Blaster DVD edition retains the 89 minute documentary 'Building a Better Zombie' that obviousily Blue couldn't get for the bluray edition.

I can't read the audio specs on the link you provided any idea what they are?

I remember reading at point Blue Underground was trying to find a supposed slightly longer cut of the film

Their only other Blu-ray release so far is New York Ripper, which was region-free.

Thanks. 1 for 1... hoping they keep it up with Four Flies because I'd gladly import the blu and dump my MYA dvd if it was unlocked and looked good.

I sent Shameless an email regarding region coding. In the meantime, I created a new thread for the release, so that we don't go too far off-topic in this one.

Am I the only one that found it odd Maniac Cop 1 and 3 were on DVD in the US but 2 never was? I'm hoping they remedy that at some point.

It's been a while since I've seen this. Is there anything we'd have to be concerned about running afoul of the UK censors? I'm really hoping we finally have an excellent copy of this with no compromises.

What??

Maniac Cop 2 is been out in the states for a long time now, it was released by the same company that released Manic Cop 3, First Look Studios!
