I had been under the impression that they were a quasi-bootleg operation until I noticed that they were distributed by Ryko. I guess that makes them legit?

There's nothing legit about Mya's FOUR FLIES disc. The bad audio was stolen from RetroFilm's German bootleg.
A 4 FLIES BD is supposedly coming from Koch Media in Germany. They posted on their facebook page.

That's strange that Ryko would distribute such a shady company - are they on the same level as Jef Films then? They do have a few nice covers though!

Since they've licensed so much to Olive (who's also started to embrace BD), I wonder if they'd be willing to fork it over to them. I bet Olive would be tenacious about getting a disc out there.

When did BU's release of The Bird With The Crystal Plumage start going for insane prices? I know it's OOP...but wow.
Someone is crazy enough currently to be paying $123 for Sealed Copy on Ebay currently.

Makes sense. There must be a good amount of people who weren't happy with Arrow's treatment but never got on the BU release.
DiabolikDVD was selling copies really cheap ($21-25-ish) a couple weeks ago since they had found some.

I bought one just before it went out of print, but I still haven't watched it, or even seen the movie. I guess I should watch it soon so I can decide if I want to sell it.

The prices sort have calmed down on the Blu-Ray. Probably was just one insane individual who had money to blow on the previous auction

I'm glad I grabbed a copy back when I first started buying Blus. I'd be pissed if the only way I could watch it was Arrow's cropped release...

I must say I was underwhelmed by Cat O' Nine Tails. The story wasn't particularly involving, the cinematography was far less striking than in other Argento films, and the Morricone score was, although functional, not a patch on the soundtracks for Bird, Deep Red, or Inferno, all of which stayed in my head long after the films they accompanied had ended. Overall, my least favorite Argento so far, other than Stendhal Syndrome.

^^
You're right, it's not on the same level as Crystal Plumage, Deep Red, Suspiria, etc. But I find it enjoyable in its own right, and would rather watch it over Argento's recent output.
Now with that said, let's hope the date you posted for Zombie is accurate...

I find most of Argento's films to be much better on their repeated viewings. I can't even remember what my first thoughts were on a lot of his films. I can see why Cat would have less appeal than Bird and I also kinda understand people not liking Stendhal but Morricone's score (especially the opening) is a masterpiece.
