It looks like we're going to see a freakin' delay with Ratatouille, if my order with Amazon is any indication.

It shows the release date as 11/6. Why would it be delayed?

By now, my pre-orders are usually in the "We are preparing this item for shipment..." phase, but Ratatouille isn't; the order can still be modified/canceled. The ONLY time this has occurred in the past, my orders have not shipped on time. It happened with the Kubrick titles, Terminator 3, The Italian Job, and a few other titles. So you see, my conclusion is based on experience. And it's further supported by the fact that Cars, another November 6 release, is already being prepared for shipment and cannot be modified.

Mine is the same way - so is Cars.

However, I don't think it's cause for concern just yet. These titles most likely have a larger demand, and as we have seen in the past, Amazon is not real good about fulfilling orders in the order they were received.

On a related note, I was shocked to see my Aviator BD is in Shipping Soon status. Maybe WB has fixed their distribution issues.

Are A Bridge Too Far and Oldboy still coming out tomorrow on BD? I've preordered both at Movie Stop and want to know if I'll be wasting my time going to try to pick them up tomorrow.

Oldboy is definitely coming as I got my Amazon shipping notice. Not sure about a Bridge Too Far.

I have Free Shipping selected, so if I don't see them being prepped for shipping by Wednesday at the latest, then I'll be concerned.

Honestly I think the recent delays were related primarily to WB and the Kubrick titles.

They skipped Ratatoulle in my Netflix queue. Usually, if I have a Tuesday release at the top of my queue, and ship a disc back on fri/sat, they'll check it on monday and send me the new release so i get it on Tuesday. This is the first time that hasn't worked...

Thanks! I'm worried about A Bridge Too Far, I can't even find many other places that'll let you preorder it.

Lots of talk about Rats problems at Amazon. I may cancel my order and go for the Best Buy deal, save $10 if you buy Rats and Cars. I am confident Best Buy will get Rats in. They were about the only place that got all the Kubricks in on time.

OK, my original order was placed with Amazon for Ratatouille the day it was available for pre-order.

I placed a new order an hour ago with one-day shipping, and that has now flipped into Shipping Soon. The old one is still Not Yet Shipped so I cancelled it.

Nice fulfillment system ya got there Amazon.

Amazon seems to be slipping for some reason, I didn't get my copy of the Spidey Trilogy til last weekend on Saturday.

What shipping method is currently listed on the order?

If you have the Super Saver free shipping, that sounds like a typically arrival estimate base don it shipping tomorrow.

It's pretty disturbing - they've been so reliable for a while now.

My Prime runs out in February and and the 10% will be gone at the end of the year. If this service level keeps up I will have no problem going to B&M's for my releases. Hell I may even frequent Wal-mart if they expand their HDM section.

Duh, that makes sense. I panicked based on some of the posts here.

I'll get Oceans 13 HD DVD, and hope they release Oceans 11 stand-alone soon. I didn't care for Oceans 12.
