It's a Warner release in the UK (and rest of Europe) so it's unlikely to have any region coding on it.
Released in the UK on 17/03/2008.

Wait, I have to wait to nearly 2009 to get Kill Bill on blu-ray? Unacceptable.

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead is now showing a 5/6 release date for the Blu-Ray, whereas the HD-DVD still shows 4/15 at Amazon. That's the opposite of the trend -- error?

The 12/31/2008 date sounds like an unknown date placeholder. Plus it's a Wednesday.

That's from Image, who have released different titles for each format. At first it was going to only be on HD DVD, but then they added a BD release. Perhaps it's just due to production issues.

Do you know that for sure, or are you just making a snide comment?

One wonders if this is the bare bones version with new packaging, or if they've actually corrected it and added the bonus features back into the HD DVDs. If I were a betting man, I'd say it's the former, not the latter.

I'm assuming it will be just like Family Guy and Die Hard on DVD, where they have an extra DVD thats only purpose is holding the digital copy on. While Blu-ray obviously has enough space to hold a 500MB video file, can a computer with a DVD drive read the Blu-ray at all?

Kris Deering found some info that is hinting toward some future New Line Blu-Ray releases:

Well since Mi Casa Multimedia is doing the soundtracks for New Line, just like they did with DVD, I took a gander over at their website. They list quite a few new 7.1 soundtracks in development for HD and all are New Line titles. Looks like we'll see:

Harold and Kumar 2
The Golden Compass
Money Talks
Frequency
Nightmare on Elm Street
The Butterfly Effect
A History of Violence
Rush Hour
Rush Hour 2
The Last Mimzy
Dark City: The Director's Cut
Tenacious D The Pick of Destiny

Not a bad list of titles in the works but I can think of A LOT more from New Line I'd like to see, a lot of which came out in 2007. There are more projects listed but those all have discrete 7.1 mixes so I imagine they were done for Blu-ray since DVD doesn't support 7.1. Hopefully we'll see some announcements soon!

Out of those, I'd take The Golden Compass and Nightmare on Elm Street. At least we can usually count on New Line to bring the works to their BD titles. I'd love to see LOTR trilogy in there though!

Looks like the Warner HD-DVD delays will affect Twister as well as it has been pushed back three weeks from the BD/DVD date to 5/27.

That's a pretty shitty list from New Line. I'd rather have:

Lord of the Rings
The New World
Boogie Nights
Magnolia

to name a few.

Count me in for Boogie Nights. They would time that and Magnolia with the release of There Will Be Blood if they knew what was good for them!

ox says it's planning to release first-ever high-def versions of 'Mrs. Doubtfire,' 'Patton,' 'The Longest Day' and 'The Sand Pebbles' this Spring as part of an upcoming Father's Day-themed promotion.

As we've previously reported, Fox recently announced that it was rescheduling the Blu-ray release of 'Master & Commander' to be part of a planned Father's Day promo (where it would also join two other recently-postponed titles, 'A Bridge Too Far' and 'Battle of Britain').

The studio now tells us that fans will have even more to look forward to with the promo, as it is preparing three additional titles for its Father's Day line-up -- the war-themed classics 'Patton,' 'The Longest Day' and 'The Sand Pebbles,' plus the Robin Williams comedy 'Mrs. Doubtfire.'

Fox has yet to reveal an exact street date, nor any specs or supplement details, but as always we'll keep you posted.
Ugh. Mrs Doubtfire Fox, really? Do you really think adults are going to go out and spend $35 on a HD version of Mrs Doubtfire? Where is X-Men I and II ?!?!?!

How about Fight Club and the Alien Quadrilogy to celebrate Father's Day?

Here's the thing, I don't want Fox to release the really highly anticipated titles until they prove they're going to do them right, with all the extras ported over.

True, that's why I'm pulling for ones that had little to no extras to begin with - The Edge, Last of the Mohicans, Thin Red Line, True Lies, etc...
