That is an awesome cover for the best film of 2007.

It's not bad but I would also prefer the theatrical poster - minus the floating heads of the DVD cover of course.

I was right there with you, until I saw NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, which dethroned ZODIAC on my list. Have you seen that yet?

No Country has been #1 on my must see list all year. It's only expanding to 130 theaters this weekend and I'm not hopeful it'll show up. Most likely, I'll be able to see it next weekend when it goes wide. I think this year could be another great year for film. There are alot of Oscar hopefuls coming out soon.

I'm confused. It says "Zodiac" on the cover but Ratatouille is inside?

We seem to have very similar taste in movies (Michael Clayton is fantastic!) so all I can say to you is: PREPARE YOURSELF.

The only other 2007 left that I suspect could possibly knock No Country out of my number-one slot is THERE WILL BE BLOOD. Which I cannot freaking wait to see.

It's been a while since I had the DVD (before I realized I just didn't like it and sold it), but it sounds like they've kept the features from the first disc and dumped the second disc, although the extended cut is gone. If you have the 2-disc version, I guess you can make a new SE with the BD and the second disc from the original set.

It sounds like a growing trend with Fox. I think From Hell did the same thing. And if initial specs are any indication, Cast Away will also do the same.

I just hope Fox doesn't drop all the 2nd disc supplements for the Die Hard flicks.

Go to DVDEmpire.com and check out their scans of the backs of the Die Hard Blu-rays....rest assured almost all of the supplements from the 2-disc DVDs are there...in fact, it appears only the first film is missing a few of it's "5-Star Collection" extras, specifically the deleted/extended footage...

I saw that. It looks like that deleted scene where the building loses power is all that's missing. And that was in B&W anyway, so I won't miss it too much. Thankfully the alternate ending for Die Hard 3 is still there. I love that extra and I wish they'd used it instead of the one in the actual film.

Looks like I can sell off the old boxset.

Where did you get it? It's pretty much non-existent at online stores.

I wonder if there was some confusion between Rescue Dawn and Red Dawn. Perhaps only Red Dawn has been delayed. I said before that I think it would have been stupid for them to delay a day and date title (since it would sell a lot fewer copies if it's not D&D).

Ah, I was really hoping Amazon would have this for $23.95. Think I'm gonna bite at DeepDiscount it's $24.78 with the code.

Looks like this one will have a TrueHD track according to the flyer.

DVDActive has a full spec sheet and back art posted, and it looks like the TrueHD track is not present.

Cancelling my pre-order now. I'll just stick with the HD DVD.
