Secondly, I got my copy of Enchanted and the Blu-ray artwork is definitely the FIRST of the above, not the second (with the big Blu-ray and 1080p strips).

The plastic holder is a good thing. Is the book the same height as a regular BD case? I hope so.

I don't have it with me right now, but I know it's NOT the same size...I believe it's a bit larger in both width and height.

I don't know how reliable this is, but FYE has Starship Troopers Blu-ray up for Pre-order with a release on 8/5.

As of today, that's not accurate. Might change, but it's not right today.

Drexl 03-12-08 02:28 PM

Starship Troopers was mentioned with that date a few weeks ago, but maybe not on this site. They could have gotten the date from AVS.

That's my birthday BTW, so I'm hoping it comes out along with some other good titles. :)

Skoobooz 03-12-08 03:01 PM

I just checked again...8/5 is NOT correct.

Definitely grabbing the box set.

No doubt. Greatest cover ever, I also can't wait to get the set.

Disney officially Narnia specs and its cover artwork courtesy of Blu-Ray.com .

Drexl 03-12-08 05:39 PM

They don't have the features up though. I assume there has to be some with a 2-disc set.

OT, but what are people going to call the first film after Prince Caspian comes out? They can't keep calling it Narnia; they're going to need a new nickname. LWW? Narnia 1? Or just Lion, Witch, or Wardrobe?

The features are up here. And the title for the next one is The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.

mdc3000 03-12-08 08:55 PM

Since we're talking cover art/packaging, just a heads up for Canadians, next week Future Shop has 'I Am Legend' on BD in an exclusive Steelbook. Looks pretty damn good.

PopcornTreeCt 03-12-08 09:59 PM

So, I Am Legend is the sequel to 28 Weeks Later?

For me it will still be Narnia, the second one will be refered to as Caspian.

Kind of like Star Wars and Empire. :D :helpme:

Happy (early) birthday. In line for Starship Troopers. One of my greatest guilty pleasure fixes!

According to Speedy's thread in the bargains section this will be available from Best Buy as well, here in the U.S. (makes sense as I think they're the same company). He has the regular BD listed for $27.99, but no price on the steelbook, so I'm not sure if it's the same price.

I think his listing is for the regular dvd steelbook, but has a photo of the blu-ray version. I don't think Best Buy is getting a Steelbook Blu-ray version. That's how I interpreted it.

RockStrongo 03-13-08 10:26 AM

Thats odd that Canada would get it but the US would not.

Odd the way people latch on to titles. Since I was always a big fan of the books, the first movie has always been "The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe" to me...just as the first Lord of the Rings movie has always been "The Felowship of the Ring" and not just "Lord of the Rings".

However, I've almost NEVER called the first Star Wars movie "A New Hope". Primarily because it wasn't called that during it's initial theatrical run. :)

matome 03-13-08 11:29 AM

In addition to the Dirty Harry stuff, DVDEmpire has listed a few more Blu-ray preorders (whihc I've never heard of):

Naked Beneath The Water 4/1
War, Inc. 7/1
Otis (uncut) 6/10
Batman: Gotham Knight 7/8

This title is directed by one of the director's that helped with Animatrix, They've got some screen shots in the new issue of Wizard.

This will be purchased!
