It is, but last I heard, the release is staggered.

Amazon lists the Blu-ray as coming out on May 6th, while the HD DVD comes out on April 15th.

Thank you Paramount!

I hope there's some good material on the musical, and not just a 5 to 10-minute featurette. I really enjoyed the features about the stage productions of Phantom of the Opera, Rent, and Hairspray on their respective discs.

Confirming earlier retailer reports, Sony has announced an April Blu-ray arrival for 'First Knight' in a first-ever special edition with all-new bonus features.

As previously reported, Sony had alerted retailers to an April 29 street date for 'First Knight,' day -and-date with a new standard DVD re-issue.

The studio has now confirmed the date and unveiled supplemental details, which see the Richard Gere-Sean Connery starrer receiving a spate of newly-produced bonus features.

Included on the BD-50 dual-layer release will be an audio commentary with director Jerry Zucker and producer Hunt Lowry, an additional "Arthurian Legend" historical commentary, three featurettes ("The Quest For Camelot," "In Shining Armor: Knights-in-Training," "The Creation of a Kingdom"), and a collection of deleted scenes and outtakes.

There are still no tech specs or final box art available yet for the Blu-ray, but we'll keep you posted.

Suggested retail for the Blu-ray has been set at $28.95.

'Juno' Coming to Blu-ray this April
Wed Feb 20, 2008 at 01:20 PM ET
Tags: Disc Announcements, Fox (all tags)

Fox has announced an April Blu-ray arrival for 'Juno,' which will hit high-def as a special edition with multiple bonus features and exclusive content.

The little movie that could, 'Juno' was the sleeper sensation of 2007, earning over $120 million at the domestic box office (where it is still firmly nestled in the top ten) and making a household name out of rising star Ellen Page.

With the film up for four Academy Awards (including Best Picture) as it heads into this weekend's Oscar telecast, Fox has announced an April 15 debut for the Blu-ray, day-and-date with single-disc and two-disc standard DVD editions.

Extras shared between the Blu-ray and two-disc DVD include audio commentary by director Jason Reitman and screenwriter Diablo Cody, four making-of featurettes ("Way Beyond 'Our' Maturity Level: Juno - Leah - Bleeker," "Diablo Cody Is Totally Boss," "Jason Reitman For Shizz," "Honest To Blog!"), eleven deleted scenes, three outtake reels ("Gag Reel," "Gag Takes," "Cast and Crew Jam") and screen tests.

Also included on all versions is a Digital Copy of the film, for download on portable media devices including PCs, video iPods and iPhone.

Exclusive to the Blu-ray will be two TV specials, "Fox Movie Channel Presents: World Premiere - Juno" and "Fox Movie Channel Presents: Casting Session - Juno"

Tech specs for the high-def version boast a BD-50 dual-layer disc with 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video, plus English DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround (48kHz/24-bit) and French and Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround (640kbps) audio and English, French and Spanish subtitle options.

WWE first Blu-Ray release is ....

Amazon is now listing listing WWE Wrestlemania 24 as available for pre-order. This is the first we have heard of a potential Blu-ray release of a title from World Wrestling, though it has been reported that ‘WWE pay-per-view events on Blu-Ray discs are in the works’.

The title has a retail price of $59.95, but Amazon is listing it for only $41.95. The release date is listed as 21 October, 2007 - which is probably an error since Wrestlemania 24 is scheduled to take place on March 30, 2008 at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. It is most likely 21 October, 2008.

Quake1028 02-20-08 09:47 PM

That's a long release delay, considering WWE PPV's tend to come out fairly quickly on DVD.

There Will Be Blood will come packaged with a forked straw, so you can drink your friend's (or enemy's) milkshake.
