Scream, which has never gotten an anamorphic release in the US, was recently shown in HD on Starz. Not the greatest of quality, but that's as good as I've seen it. And when catalog titles start showing up in HD on the pay channels, that sometimes translates to a future BD release. Contact was also shown in HD recently.
I would love me some Scream in HD!

Neve Campbell in HD

With The Shawshank Redemption finally getting a November release, I really hope The Green Mile joins it on that day. If it doesn't, I can't think of another good time to release it.

Bill Hunt has posted in the BD Insiders thread that Warners may be releasing the new special edition of LA Confidential this Summer. That is a day 1 purchase for me. The new Get Smart film will be a December release.

D'oh! How could I forget these? Another MGM title that is imperative on Bd would be Thelma & Louise. Especially since the current SE is riddled with artifacts and aliasing. Like all of Scotts work it's a visual treat, and really deserves a first class presentation. I'm sure it will take at least 3 years though (coming up on the 20th anniversary already- yikes)

I also forgot Logan's Run and Soylent Green from Warner

a couple more for now-
New Line (now Warner?)
The New World
Dark City
The Sweet Hereafter

Sony
The Deep
1776
Gidget
The Mask Of Zorro
Bite The Bullet

I'll believe it when I see it. We've been let down by LA Confidential too many times to count.

The new SE is being released in Japan on 6/13. Sounds like we'll finally get it this year.

FWIW, Columbia House has L.A. Confidential listed for a 9/23/08 release.

I would love to have Marie Antoinette come out. It looked like it might be released at some point but then for some reason it fell out of the future releases.

+1 But can we also have the Fincher cut in addition to the theatrical and "Assembly" cut?

I'm sure a million others have posted some of these, but I'd like to see on Blu-ray:

Lord of the Rings trilogy
Star Wars films
Indiana Jones films
Star Trek films
Titanic
Braveheart
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Gladiator
Brotherhood of the Wolf (Blu-ray...it's already on HD-DVD import)
Devdas
any Ryuhei Kitamura film (especially Sky High)
Running Man
A.I.
The Abyss
Amelie
Van Helsing (blu-ray)
The Banquet
Painted Veil
Hamlet (Kenneth Branagh)
Bend it Like Beckham
Cold Mountain
Equilibrium
Moulin Rouge
Jurassic Park trilogy
Minority Report

And, on tv:
Buffy (if possible...many have said it's not really reasonable to do in high-def)
X-Files
early seasons of Smallville

I saw this on TV in HD earlier, subtitled in English, and yet no US Blu will be out for some time I'm sure (City of Lost Children), it's already in HD dammit, package it up! (image distorted by format):
