I just started buying Blu-rays last weekend, but I'm already hooked, so forgive me for the long list. I'm just perusing my DVD collection, picking out ones I think would benefit the most from a Blu-ray upgrade.

Any word on Hurt Locker?

It's coming January 12th, according to HumanMedia in the announcements thread. There hasn't been an official announcement, but I think he's a distributor (or works with one), so it looks like that's the planned date.

Any word on A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (as well as the rest of the NoES movies?) Maybe when the NoES remake comes out next year?

It's pretty surprising this one hasn't yet been released on BD, considering it was on HD DVD....

I probably have 300 or so SD left and it's almost impossible to pick like a top 10 want list. There's definitely several near the top, but once you get 10 or so picked out, there's certainly quite a few others that you feel could be on the list or are all bunched up near the top. The ones that I do think are no-brainers for me are:

I want see Karate Kid Trilogy come out on Blu. This will look awesome in hi-def.

Solaris and Moulin Rouge as well as individual releases of all the Star Trek movies...

Wouldn't mind having the first Nightmare on Elm Street. Maybe with the remake coming soon they'll do a release. I'm also hoping to get the Back to the Future trilogy soon.

Any word on the three Blade movies...in their correct aspect ratio...for a US release?

Roger Waters - The Wall (Live in Berlin)

A great show, plus a bizarre cast of musical guest stars.
One of my real faves, and sadly the 2003 release is nonanamorphic

Thief with James Caan current DVD is unwatchable.

I wouldn't mind seeing both cuts of Thriller (They Call Her One Eye and A Cruel Picture) on a BD disc with some new extra features. I'm not sure if they could do much for the video and audio quality. I would still buy it in a heartbeat though.
