It is already out in France on both formats, no subs, and not an impressive image quality.

Ramsey's film is very unlikely to see the light of day as even the Criterion disc did not sell very well.

It is on the pre-Christmas Fox UK promo sheet (look back in this thread) together with Ghostbusters and a few other popcorns. I expect that this film will be on BR in 2008.

This was pre-announced to arrive on HDDVD this April in Italy. Not sure if it is still coming out given the Warner news.

Is < enter title here > coming to Blu-Ray?

I, of all people wouldnt think I would be making up a thread asking if a title was coming out on BD, however after watching 'Diary of the Dead' tonight online, I feel compelled to ask about it.

I guess while I'm at it I should try to offer the boards something. Because I know after about thirty of these post's I get sick of seeing these, '...is x coming out?' added weekly.

Anyways...

So does anyone know if 'Diary of the Dead' is coming out internationally / domestically on HDM?

Thanks!

Diary of the Dead? Only movies with high production values should be released to Blu-ray.

Ghostbusters is rumored for October 21st. This was copied from blu-ray.com. Originally posted on the Ghostbusters fan website. You have to be a member to read anything there.

"Ghostbusters: The Video Game & Blu-Ray Together!

You heard it here first!

Sony and Vivendi Games are both aiming for the same release date of Ghostbusters: The Video Game, and the new Ghostbusters Blu-Ray DVD. Both are hoping to be released on October 21st, 2008.. while neither is set in stone, both are likely to be released on the same day. Vivendi is working on a Best Buy Exclusive promotion, as well as promotions with Target and GameStop.

Sony and Vivendi are also teaming up for a DVD Cash Promotion. All copies of the Vivendi Ghostbusters: The Video Game for XBox 360, PS2, & Wii will come with a DVD cash credit good towards the purchase of the Ghostbusters Collectors Edition DVD (while supplies last)."

I wonder if its going to be like the Stranglehold:Collector's Edition BD exclusive to the PS3 that had Hard Boiled on it?

Not a bad idea... if they can do it better than the horrible Stranglehold version of Hard Boiled.

If you've never seen it - but it had a Criterion logo on it you'd be all over it!

I can't argue that. Though I do plan on being a bit more discriminate when Criterion starts releasing on Blu-ray.

I'm sure with a list price of over $49.99 - your going to have to start selling organs on the black market to keep up on these titles.

By any chance did you buy the last "GWTW" DVD release? The picture was so clear, it looked like a movie that could have been made last year. I suspect the BD will be just as amazing. I would have added "The Ice Storm" to my list, but I sold a kidney to pay for that damn Criterion Collection edition. Which I'm very very happy with. But I've dropped about $55.00 on that film on DVD. So, that's enough.

Alien is planned for a 2009 release by Fox. Just in time for the movie's 30th anniversary. Young Frankenstein is also a possible candidate for this year.

Scream, which has never gotten an anamorphic release in the US, was recently shown in HD on Starz. Not the greatest of quality, but that's as good as I've seen it. And when catalog titles start showing up in HD on the pay channels, that sometimes translates to a future BD release. Contact was also shown in HD recently.
