Just a quick note: My local Walmart has finally started stocking HD titles on a seperate rack. They have much bigger Blu-Ray selection, I'd say 4-1 over whats available for Hd-dvd.

Some of the prices are also slightly lower or priced equally with Amazon.

This deal comes up automatically at the register. No need to argue. Awesome deal.

I just walked up to the register with the add-on, Heroes, Transformers, and the Fountain. Out the door price $192 with tax.

Spiderman trilogy on Blu-Ray for $55.98 SHIPPED!

HOT DEAL:

familyvideo.com has the spiderman trilogy (blu-ray) for $59.99 + $.99 for shipping. However, if you create a new account and apply code NEWPGMEM during checkout, the total comes out to $55.98 SHIPPED!

I just placed my order. The next cheapest place I saw was Amazon for $64.95.

This will save you about $9...not bad!

This is just a heads up for a future deal.

On a certain day in November, a store that sounds like beers is going to have the Toshiba A3 for 169.99 from 5 a.m. until noon.

Great deal! With the extra 10% off it will come to $13.50.

AVP - Alien Vs. Predator [Blu-ray] $23.95
Chain Reaction [Blu-ray] $23.95

Fantastic Four - Rise of the Silver Surfer [Blu-Ray] $23.95

Damn that is going to be HARD to pass up! I really wanted to wait until CES to see if Universal started to go both ways...

I have a feeling there are going to be lots of HD deals in November. As such I have been very stingy with all the current good prices. I would love to upgrade my HD DVD player, but I am waiting for an amazing deal.

Along those lines a three letter media store often found in malls will have these titles that same day in November:

House of 1000 Corpses (BD) 12.99
Crank (BD) 16.99
The Condemned (BD) 16.99
Crash (BD) 16.99
Delta Farce (BD) 16.99
Dawn of the Dead (HD) 16.99
Friday Night Lights (HD) 16.99
Meet the Parents (HD) 16.99
Shaun of the Dead (HD) 16.99
The Deer Hunter (HD) 16.99
Van Helsing (HD) 16.99

I’m hooked on FYE.com for my Blu-Rays now. If you don’t mind rebates, you can’t get new releases cheaper anywhere. With coupons, they are offering pretty much all new releases for under $20 after rebate, with free budget shipping. And on some you can now select a FYE debit card as your rebate method, which pays more than a check and is emailed to you within 24 hours of the acceptance of the submission. Use one of these coupons, depending if you hit the $35 threshold or not:

PAYPAL10: $10 of $35.
WELCOMECCTEN: 10% order.

Here are some examples (for demonstration purposes, I am assuming $5 off each disk in a 2 disk order using the Paypal code) :

Die Hard 4, Pirates 3, Superbad, Simpsons Movie, Rescue Dawn: 10% code-$18.89, Paypal code-$15.99.
Oceans13: 10% code-$17.99, Paypal code-$14.99.
Ratatouille: 10% code-$17.09, Paypal code-$13.99.

Some more variables to consider. If you chose the $10 Debit Card rebate instead of a $7 rebate check, take another $3 bucks off per disk for the above prices. The Debit Card can be combined with the 10% code, but NOT the Paypal code. Paypal code doesn’t work on preorders, the 10% code does. My examples don’t include sales tax, so add that in if applicable for you.

Walmart is selling three of those expensive 39.99 FOX titles for only 14.88!:
Xmen 3: The Last Stand
Night At The Museum
Windtalkers

I snagged X3 with free site to store shipping, have to wait 7-10 days for it but seems an OK trade-off to save a couple bucks...

Dawn of the Dead + Shaun of the Dead + Crank for $16.99 each = Happiness!

And the A3 for $170? I jumped the frickin' gun. But I still got on the B1G1 at Circuit City!

Not sure how good of a bargain these are or if this has been posted before. But I was checking out Amazon.com hd-dvd selection and notice they drop some prices on some titles. If you are one of the folks that get 10% of hi-def media prices are not to bad.

1. Knocked Up - $19.95
2. Evan Almighty - $19.95
3. Big Lebowski - $16.49
4. Casino - $16.49
5. 12 Monkeys - $16.49
6. Seabiscuit - $16.49
7. Backdraft - $16.49
8. Doom - $16.49

So with FYE, do they do in-store pick up? Probably not, but thought I would ask.

$10 Off of Cars/Ratatouille Combo at Amazon

Amazon is knocking off an additional $10 if you order Cars and Ratatouille together. They are also taking off the 10% discount for those that have it attached to their account. $37.90 without the 10% discount and $33.11 with it. The $10 discount will not be reflected until the final checkout screen.

Yep. I got it to work. See? This is why sometimes it's good that Amazon doesn't prep our orders for shipping right away. I was able to cancel my old order and reorder it for $33.11.
