I had The Last Samurai, Goodfellas and Blazing Saddles in my Amazon Goldbox today. Definitely something people might want to check for an extra $1 off.

The only HD DVD I've ever had in my Goldbox was Unforgiven.

Ugh - I try to order from DVD Planet using my credit there, and they don't have any Paramount titles listed at all. How irritating.

Damn! After reading your post, the first thing in my gold box was Blazing Saddles. I would have picked it up, but I really wanted Goodfellas, but it didn't show up in the rest of my options.

Yeah...they track your buying preferences and tailer it to that. I get HD DVD's and 80's music.

Yep, but like you said, it's rare for HD-DVDs to show up in the gold box for me. It's usually crappy CDs from bands that their system matches to my purchases, or a freaking Prada purse that shows up EVERY DAY, that I have never searched for. Every HD-DVD I don't own is in my wish list, now I'm pissed I didn't pick up Blazing Saddles for $17.

I also forgot to mention that I saw a slot for Pitch Black on HD-DVD at Walmart yesterday for 19.99. They didn't have any in stock, but it's a pretty good B&M price if you can find it, a couple bucks cheaper than I paid on Amazon.

Sucks....my amazon order for paramount titles hasnt shipped and neither has my Equilibrium from yesasia....i was hoping to get some discs to watch for this weekend!!

Oh well, I havent finished Pitch Black or started Chronicles of Riddick yet....ill just watch those.

BTW - I lucked out from amazon. When I preordered the paramount titles, they werent coming up with the discount....I emailed customer service about it. So, they emailed back and said that the discount didnt apply to those titles and they gave me a $5 credit towards my next purchase. THEN, the discount was available, so I cancelled my order and preordered again with the discount. Cha Ching.

I stopped by Best Buy yesterday to use my $5 reward zone cert. They had 4 copies of Tomb Raider, 1 copy of Sky Captain, and 1 copy of Sleepy Hollow, priced at a low $29.99. I thought about getting Sleepy Hollow because I want it now, but I'd still be paying about $6 more, so I put it back and will wait on Amazon's slow ass. I did notice on the back of the cover that the teaser and theatrical trailer are in HD.

Get it price-matched. That's what a lot of us are doing. In case you missed it, I got Sky Captain for $10 with PM and a coupon.

Nope. Printed out the page from the website. They did it, no questions asked. I even had a manager right there who told her how to do it.

Wow.....I sent an email to customer support on amazon today....told them that my items (Sleepy Hollow and Sky Captain) had not shipped but said they would be delivered today. Well, they expedited the shipment and Im getting them tomorrow! They shipped today. Damn, amazon has great customer service.

Amazon.com has lowered the list price on some of the earlier Universal HD releases. Pitch Black, Apollo 13, Serenity and others now list at $29.98 and are sold for $19.95. I think it's time to get Pitch Black.

I think these were scheduled to drop very soon.

Nawce. If that's the case, I may consider getting 4 instead of 3 on 8/8.
