I for one feel that the HD-DVD combo is severly hurting the format. The $10 premium for a combo disc definately keeps me from puschasing movies that I otherwise would consider taking a chance on. The Superman HD-DVD is a prime example, and potentially a big pusher for the HD-DVD format. Unfortunately, the HD-COMBO disc caries a premium over the Blu Ray version at the time people may be deciding which format to support. How about giving the public a choice by issuing both HD and Combo formats or, better yet, bring down the cost of the Combo disc. That way there would be more apparent band for the buck over a similarly priced Blu Ray disc. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with you on the combo situation, but can understand why studios would want to avoid confusion at the early stages of the format by not releasing a combo and HD-DVD only version.

I would not be surprised if down the road, this were to get an HD-DVD only release, but we are talking years.
