Here's the 2024 Subset List in no particular order (aside from a few assigned dates) with the physical media and streaming guide included. The theme/subset hybrid table with all the bells and whistles is coming sooner than later, and same goes for the subset threads. Until that time the current status of the assigned dates can be found on post #18 of the pre-challenge thread.
As always, an eclectic mix with a few classics, modern, horror-adjacent, obscure, regional, foreign, some future OHMC "favorites", some gory, psychotronic, Gothic, some Cronenberg, Tourneur, Barker and Bogdanovich, erotic, family-friendly, a silent, a demon phallus, avant-garde, a Russian snuff film-within-a-film, a video nasty, some Hammer, an exploding head in a microwave, a Category III hybrid classic, bullshit artists, cheeseball, Al "Grandpa" Lewis as a bored vampire living in New Zealand. We have horror icons and A-listers galore - Lorre, Karloff, Sir Alec Guiness, Bacon, My Cocaine, Deniro, Schwarzenegger, Cooper, Jackson, Spader, Sutherland (R.I.P.), Scheider, Rourke, Gere, Bale and that guy from Game of Thrones. There's two polar opposite Serbian films - one involves exploding breast implants and the other's from Andrzej Zulawski(!), a film (or two) that's still playing theaters and a father and son duo that involves lots of grease. Also Dwayne Wayne! And, once again, some recent first-time Blu-ray and UHD releases and upgrades, plus another explosion of 80s films.

I'm really happy with the way it turned out but that 45 limit went right out the window. Right before posting I realized someone was missing from the list after some rearranging, so I added a couple of picks. I was too indecisive to narrow it down to just one, nor could I cut any existing picks, and that's why we're at 47 films this year.

Very nice list Chad. I'm working my way through the Severin Steckler box and I've been setting aside all the horror for an eventual Steckler-fest during October. I'm on the last 2 disks, and his movies completely devolve into straight porn. I figured it would be softcore, but it's the real deal.

Don't Deliver Us From Evil (1971) and Angel Heart (1987) are a pair of amazing flicks for those who might not have seen them. I love that this subset list is supersized! We are all gluttons here for Halloween horror.

The list looks great Chad. Happy that Predator made the cut, because among other things, last spring I bought a DVD set of all of the Alien and Predator movies. Been away for a while due to internet issues. So I decided not to try to even login and just took a break from the forum for a while. In the meantime, I've found myself watching some horror on my own.
