I was lucky to buy it on ebay for $13 a couple of months ago.

I just sold my Criterion edition of "Salo" for $65.00. I know it sells for much more from some vendors, but I already had the new edition of "Salo" (the non-criterion edition published about a year ago), and I'm not a Criterion purist.

Oddly, my OOP VHS titles continue to fetch the highest sums-- Today, I sold an un-opened VHS of Ken Russell's "The Music Lovers" for $99.95 (on Amazon).
It was purchased by the Music Department at Colorado College.
...colleges and libraries account for much of the OOP VHS trade (with me, that is).

I picked up Pope Joan starring Liv Ullman at a used DVD shop yesterday for $3. I didn't really know anything about it, I am just interested in the (supposedly) true story. When I got home, I looked it up on Amazon Marketplace and discovered that it's going for $45.99 used and $75 new! And the funny thing is, judging from the reviews, it's not really a very good movie.

Anchor Bay's release of Night Of The Demons has been out of print for sometime however Amazon must've found a box of copies because it's now in stock. I ordered a copy last night.

Thanks for the heads up on this one. Speaking about finding a box of an OOP title, I've seen copies of the "Moon Zero Two/When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" twofer on a couple of Best Buy shelves recently. This is of course after I dropped $30 for my copy. Oh well, maybe patience in the scheme of OOP DVD's is a virtue.

A much needed update is coming soon. I wasn't able to update this thread because of my work schedule but since I'm off this whole week, I finally have some time to update.

I finally got around to watching "Turk 182" that I've had on DVD for years. After watching it I promptly put it on Amazon for $50.

Just wanted to note that these are being reissued on 6/1 along with a whole slew of Universal titles: http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v1_lis...&view=0&page=2

Today at second spin I picked up the Image version of The Electric Horseman, for $5, I've never seen it before, but the subsequent Universal release has music changes, making this edition valuable.

According to DVD Empire, Charley Varrick and Colossus are being released in the same crappy fullscreen versions as last time, which is why I didn't get them last time.

A used excellant condition one right now is going for $40 with over a day left so I assume it will go higher at the end. Crazy...considering it's a fullscreen release and this type of film would really need a widescreen release to do it justice.

Universal is bringing The Great Waldo Pepper to DVD this August in anamorphic widescreen !

CANDY (Anchor Bay) ironically, the regular edition is going for more ($64.95/139.99) than the limited edition tin ($52.55/97.00)

It's good news that Universal is also bucking the Warner Archive DVD-R trend for catalogue titles. These re-releases at reasonable prices are good news for those of us who like older films.

Is this thread still being updated?
Because the original post has not been edited since January.

And many DVDs are going OOP.
Including recently a lot of paramount DVDs have apparently gone out of print.

I don't think the thread has been updated. Still many of those Paramount DVDs that have gone OOP are still available at Amazon of have popped up at Big Lots, so their value still not that high.
