BTW, if you have a copy of Matinee, you might think of unloading it as it has been announced that a re-release will be coming soon later in the year. The only thing is whether the release will be a DVD or DVD-R.

It's a regular dvd, coming on May 4, 2010.

holy fuckin christ, is the Almost Famous 2 disc bootleg version really worth that much? i knew it was oop, but didn't know it went for that much. At those prices, its tempting to off it, but i love that movie (and prefer the long version too

The "bootleg cut" of Almost Famous has been released on BD in the UK, and the disc is region free and fully playable on US machines....fairly cheap as well, currently under $16 shipped to the states from amazon.uk!

They call it "Extended edition" rather than "Untitled". http://www.amazon.co.uk/Almost-Famou...4005011&sr=1-2

Incidentally, Amazon.com has it as well. For much more money.

Yes, I've put my widescreen edition DVD already on Amazon. I actually hate to part with it but I need the dough.

surprised to see a few streep films out of print now:

she-devil (1989) and silkwood (1983) are both going for about 20 bucks.

a few other oscar nominees:
testament (1983) $28 (found this at a blockbuster going out of business for $1.99)

gorillas in the mist (1988) $8

secrets and lies (1996) $80 new (holy crap!)

Correct. Nevertheless, Enigma SE should still be added to the list as itīs rare and somewhat expensive.

Wow, I just picked up the 3 disc Popeye 75th Anniversary Collection for $7, only because I liked one short Barbecue for Two, I'm wondering if I overpaid, so I check Amazon and its $158/58... Unbelievable.

The Walking Tall DVDs are sold individually also and they sell very well. Might want to add that.

Does Amazon not open on your browser? All we're doing is looking up a title on that website and noting the new/used prices. Regardless, if you've got more it's good to share!

I actually found Walking Tall Part 2 & 3 last week. Didn't find part 1, I assume someone bought it before I got there.

Just realized my copy of The Great Waldo Pepper is worth enough to part with. Thankfully, I never got around to watching it (or even taking the shrinkwrap off it). It's going up on eBay tonight.
