I decided to create a thread in which we can update with OOP DVDs titles that are now going for high prices.

The DVD's that I am talking about are not Criterions and rare imports, or other obvious collectibles such as Disney Treasures tins, but rather rare OOP dvds of ordinary movies which you might see everyday in places where new/used DVDs are sold.
I will need the help of the board members to update the thread with new listings and prices and I'll update the list to the best of my abilities.
For this thread let's stick to Amazon Marketplace Mint Condition Used/Sealed prices as reference. Whether some of those prices are reasonable is debatable but so are Ebay's prices too. Also we should stick to R1 releases only.

Please note that this thread is supposed to be used merely for people to be aware of what's the average going price of these regular edition dvds and is not intended to be a "Beckett Guide" for DVDs. The prices listed shouldn't be seen as absolute.

Just a suggestion, but articles such as "A," "An" and "The" aren't really supposed to be used for alphabetizing. This depletes most of the titles currently listed under "T," but it does add titles to several other letters!

of course we all know that listing something for xxx amount is not the same as consistently selling it for that amount. If you want to put your line in the water and don't mind waiting months or years for a bite, then you can set just about any outrageous price for something that out of print and low profile.

I'm kicking myself for not picking up the '67 Spider-Man collection when I had the chance. In my memory I can still see the boxes on the shelf at Best Buy. I remember they were down to $9.99 one time. Sigh.

Thanks for the bolded titles but as indicated on the first post, the WDT are not part of titles that will be included here along with any packaging editions such as steelbooks and Criterions

I'm not sure I trust the first one at Amazon for $13.00. Could be the Extreme Edition, not the Ultimate Edition. Amazon often has screw-ups like that. I had a problem with that over there once.

The second one at $24.95...well, maybe.

Go to EBay and punch in Terminator 2: Ultimate Edition and you'll see a guy trying to sell a brand new one for $500.00.

They've had several complaints about The Terminator over at Amazon. They use the Special Edition pic (with the even more rare holofoil cover) for the bare bones Terminator DVD. People have bought it thinking they were getting the Special Edition (with or without holofoil), and they were not.

I remember when Amazon had The Night Flier in stock and it was going for $7.50. Seriously.
